USA lost to Greece 101-95.

The superstars of NBA lost to Greece (who have zero players who play in NBA) in World Championship semifinals in Japan. This is their first loss as a team. Anthony, Wade, Lebron all played. Kobe was suppose to be watching this. Now USA have to qualify for 2008 Olympics at Venezuala.

Congratulations Greece!! Now they face Spain in the finals. Gasol and Co. who beat Argentina 75-74 in the other semi-finals. All four teams were undefeated coming into the semi finals. USA and Argentina will play tonight for the bronge medal.

These loses are no longer upset to me. The other nations are becoming that good.

What a loser... are they really that good that a team with LeBron, Wade and Anthony can't beat them? But then again, its only one game. If it was a best of five, I am sure USA would've come up at top.

They may not be as good as even Joe Johnson, Hinrich one on one, however, as a team they are that good. Just wait and see what Argentina does to the US team. USA can't buy a basket from outside the 3 point line. Their defense was pathetic. In two quarters Greece shot 76%. US was leading 33 to 21. When Lebron said, "They don't know what to do." That's a direct quote. Not only Greece knew what they were doing it was the Americans who can't shoot a lick and thought they already won the gold just by showing up for the tourney. Overconfidence is one of the key ingredients to get your rear handed to you.

These teams Greece, Spain, Argentina etc. they play as a team. Their synergy factor surpasses the individual talents and ability of the US team. Throwing a windmill dunk only gets a two point just as an easy layup. Showmanship may get more seat filled in the arenas but it does not have any affect on the final score.

Even without Gasol (injured), Spain dominated Greece 70-47. USA managed to beat Argentina to take the bronze.

Spain is the new World Champions!!! Contragulations. I demand a post from R_S since he lives in Spain.

Last night NBA season began. Miami started its Title defense with the worst loss for Pat Riley ever. Chicago just finished of Miami in 3 Quarters. The bench was cleared eraly and often. 108 - 66. 42 point loss.

Chicago is for real. Let the east be aware. This includes King James and Pistons.

The second game was against Phoenix and Lakers. i watched the 1st Quarter of the game and thought the game was over. Phoenix scored 42 points in one quarter and had a double digit lead. This morning I find out the lost to the Kobe less Lakers??

Waiting for Dallas to bust open from the beginning. Go General, go!!

Mavs are back on track. They have 3 game winning streak.

Miami is too old. Chicago is too young (experience). There is a new sheriff in the east. "The King".

Utah, Clips if they can stay healthy then they can challenge the supremacy of Spurs and Mavs in the west. Rockets and Lakers are in the second tier teams. Amare will be a beast next season.

It is not a "shopno". I have predicted them to win this one in the NFL thread. Too many close calls for my Man Payton and Co. Their defense is allowing too many points. Dallas has a huge advantage in running game and defense.

Croshere is a hustler and i like who gives 110% on the court. But i think Avery has grown quite a bit from the last years experience. Too much rotation can hinder playing time. And if someone gets injured he is always there to fall on to. I don't mind him warming up the bench as long as they are winning.

6 in a row for Dallas. Now sitting at 6-4. Utah still going strong. 10-1 leading the west. being in the weaker division (North-West) will allow them to enjoy the being at the top a little more. Spurs are 9-2. Gasol's injury has put Memphis in the back seat. 2-8. Nuggets are having yet another dissapointing season. 4-4. Clips are leading and Lakers, warriors and Sacto are following them.

East is a laughing stock. Only two team have a winning record Cavs 7-3 and Orlando 7-4. I am waiting for orlando to bust out. So then there will be only one. Chicago will get on a roll when there road trip ends and home cookings smells the right recipe right now.

knicks suck as always but did anyone see Carmelo Anthony run like a little girl after throwing that sucker punch? I'm still laughing Jared jeffries would of seriously hurt melo. Nate Robinson held it down taking down a man thats 6'8 and then chasing melo when he running like a girl.

Melo got some new nick names now they are Jello and carmela and few others which i can't post.

What a turnaround a month and half makes. dallas started the season 0-4. Then the ran 25-3. Back on top Take that spurs, utah, lake show, phoenix. Whereas, the clips started 4-1 then went the otherway 10-16. Philly are more pathetic. They started 3-0 and then 6-22.

King James is on a mission. Must give props to the Magic leading the division still.

NBA's Problem:
A team from Atlantic Division will get in to the playoffs with a below .500 record. That is a disgrace. If one looks at Baseball, last season alone there were 6 teams with above .500 record who did not see the playoff. This is after playing a grueling 162 games. Chicago White Sox the then defending champs with a .556 record could not even get in to the playoffs. If one looks at NFL, he/she would see there were 8 teams with a .500 or better record didn't make the playoffs.

This season another problem may occur. Having a better record another team in the central or southeastern conference in the east may not get into the playoffs. Currently Miami is ahead of Toronto and New Jersey still they can't be in the playoffs.

The solution:
NBA need to lessen the # of playoff teams ASAP and change the playoff format. 6 best record teams from the regular season getting into the playoffs would solve the problem. In that case conference leaders may get bumped out but that is something we have to live with. Then the quality of the playoffs would be better. NBA players will have a larger off season. Team USA can be better served.
