I would like add Aftab at #3 without hesitation. That only leaves #2 and #6 open to grab and I'm concerened about only this two specialized batting positions. We can easily test this two positions in this tour. Taking Sharif will add value to #6 as well as to bowling. But who will remove Ashraful if not our current caretaker Govt do it by using RAB.

Lots of Suggetion. Does Our Team Management have the Ability to Think So Deeply? They Should Have. Otherwise Why are They Sitting on the Chair of an International Team?

Default my team for 3rd ODI against zimbabwe

cant believe Bd can lost to zimbabwe that badly. Iif its zimbabwe's old team (i mean during streak captain, what would happen to BD), its not even Zimbabwe A team, its called B team. I think, Brent was player during Streak's captaincy. did u guys see his magic, i feel shame for BD team. now forget and lets pay attention for 3rd match

my team here

1. Shahriar nafees
2. tamim Iqbal ( must)
3. Aftab Ahmed
4. Saqib Ul Hasan
5. habibul bashar
6. tushar Imran (ashraful should be rested)
7.mushfiq rahim
8. mashrafi Murtaza
9. mohammad Sharif
10. tapash Baisya
11. Abdur razzaq

12th man---mehrab junior

rested players are: ashraful, rafiq, shahadat. I am sure, bangladesh would like to use their best 11 in the final match. why not to try other 3 in this match and find out best 11. team management should follow this and no alternatives. They should have done this in the 2nd match. but they are lack of imagination, so didnt see it.

I have already pointed this to moderators in another post. I hope Rafique has not become the West Indian player who could play with both hands.

hahahaha! magic? u've gotta be kidding me! This guy may be economic, but he isnt anything that our players cant smash around the park. If this was the australian team brent would've disappeared to all parts of the ground. Lets just try and compare ourselves to that team for once. After all we did beat them.
My point is, brent is nothing we cant handle. I assure you.

I think I saw briefly on NTV this morning that Rafiq is rested for the 3rd ODI (scrolling news in the bottom).

What you all will make out of it? Disaster, or an opportunity to play 3 pacers (Taposh/Sharif)??

Here's the team for the 3rd ODI

Quote:
Hard-hitting opening batsman Tamim Iqbal Khan will make his debut when Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the crucial third ODI of the Croco Motors series at the Harare Sports Club tomorrow.

The Tigers, who won the first game by 45 runs but came crashing down to earth on Tuesday with an 8-wicket defeat, have also decided to give all-rounder Mohammad Sharif and paceman Tapash Baishya their first matches of the tour.

Tamim, the 17-year-old younger left-hander, is expected to open the batting with Shahriar Nafees Ahmed. Mehrab Hossain (Jr.), who was Nafees’ partner in the first two ODIs has been dropped.

Sharif comes in for the injured Mohammad Rafique who is still nursing a badly bruised nose following a collision with Zimbabwe batsman Vusi Sibanda’s helmet on Tuesday. He was seen by a doctor today (Thursday) and according to team management sources, will be kept under observation for the next 5 days as the bleeding from the nose has not stopped fully. This effectively rules him out of the remainder of the series with the Tigers playing back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.

Tapash will replace Shahadat Hossain Rajib who reportedly had a forgettable day in the field in the second game.

Bangladesh team for 3rd ODI
Habibul Bashar (Captain), Shahriar Nafees Ahmed, Tamim Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Sharif, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tapash Baishya, Abdur Razzak.

Both Tapash and Sharif in the team. Batting will be a lot stronger but not sure about bowling without Rafique and Shahadat.

Once again, Tushar is held back to keep the bench warm.

I just want to know what excuse will Ash have this time. Certainly he got enough chance to bat from the #6 position.

As for the new players in the team, for the sake of the team, I pray, they perform their best and win the match for us.

Thank god they finally dropped Mehrab......... Now at least we'll find Tamims potential before the WC. If he doesnt work out either, go for Rajin in the WC. Cuz no matter what, Mehrab cannot be chosen for the WC, hes worse than Rokon.

Why should Ashraful be rested? Did he score 200 runs or run a marathon in the 2nd game?

Yes, Ashraful is still alive in the team even after so many failure. He keeps people memorize "Failure is the pillar of success (!)".
I wrote it earlier and writing here again "Only care taker Govt with the help of RAB and bull dozer can remove Ashraful". I don't think there is any other option.

I sincerly hope Tamim will click in next two matches. Mehrab is probably gone, knowing Faruque's mentality, he will probably be replaced by Rajin for the WC squad (unless Tamim sucks big time).
