Inshaallah, if managed well, Abul will become a very decent allrounder for us. Of course, he has to do his bits, first. We have to be patient to see Abul the fast bowler excel as he is only 20 and hasnt played a lot of FC. But, what I have seen of him today I see a genuine prospect in him. He is our 3rd seamer for the ODIs who could bat down the order. Abul should be advised to take his batting seriously and not bat like a tailender.

He was bowling with a fractured hand. Even though that's his non bowling hand, it must have affected his bowling. He definitely seems to be a kid with heart which is important. His run and action is pretty smooth and he can work up a decent amount of pace. He'll need to work hard on his control and discipline.

I still agree with Kaa-Purush bhai and Rohon da that he should still bat lower down the order. It could've been a rare exception but nevertheless exception or not, we need a strong #10 batsman.

People are getting carried away he will never be a decent all-rounder, his innings was a fluke and a number 10 bowler scoring a century proves just how terrible and unsuitable this Cricket pitch is. Had the top order played properly, we still would've been on 931-6 or something the pitch is that bad for bowling for both pacers or spinners. We have problems playing the highest form of the game and that needs to be sorted.

^ A lot like my then 12 year old who scored and saved a penalty in the same soccer game in the league. He was striker first half and then goalie in the last 10 minutes of the game.

abul has potential. in a few years if we go with 3 pacers i can see a pace attack of rubel, abul and alauddin as first change. BD pacers always seem to be unlucky, how many more wicket could mash of had if it weren't for poor fielding/dropped catches, and it still happens, can't expect the bowlers to get all of their wickets through lbw's and bowled, the fielders need to hold onto the chances.

You are right. Our fielding and wicket keeping makes fast bowling very difficult. Shahdat is the biggest sufferer of that. Look at WI, the number of ball, Tino best bowled outside leg and saved by Ramdin was amazing, that gives more confidence to the bowlers to experiment and bowl freely to give you result. If he has to get bogged down worrying about extras....then the quality automatically reduces.... That's a big disadvantage for our pacers.... Everyone isn't McGrath ...

Well, clearly the fractured hand caused him problems. So that excuses his wayward bowling. Would like to see him bowl with a fit body.

These are critical times for Raju and us, Bangladesh fans. People expect more from him with the bat and I'm eager to see how he responds to our expectation. Would he crumble so many before him? Or would this inspire him to build on his early success and become even better like Shakib and Nasir before him? I pray it's the latter.
