Default Replacement Pacer

According to Tareq Mahmud of Prothom-Alo, Rubel has to be sent home because of injury and Dollar is in consideration to replace him.

http://www.prothom-alo.net/V1/index....p?nid=MjU0NzM=

I know Shahadat has been struggling with his form, but has he now become worse than Dollar?!

Also, why Dollar should be prefered over other prospects like Zia, Talha, Sajid, or even Robiul (who is currently leading the pace department for the academy team in South Africa)?!

talha, i always forget about him. as i said in another thread i would like to see guys like sajidul, robiul, zia or even subashis and delwar. i know sohel likes sumon saha, and no i don't think shahadat has become worse than dollar. the only reason for taking dollar would be because of his boundary hitting ability but zia, sajidul and delwar all have some ability with the bat, so does robin who is already over there.

Where is Talha Zubair anyway? Care to give Tariq Aziz another chance? He did well this season...

dollar's selection imo was mainly due to a 7 wicket haul he took in the NCL a couple of seasons ago, don't think he's done anything since then.

dont hate me but i wouldn't bring any new face in the national squad untill they are/have built, talent, proved in academy matches. I dont buy domestic matches cuz anyone can perform against our batsmen or batsmen can perform against our bowlers.

Dolar Mahmud was a total waste
Sajidul was a total waste
Shahadat is the biggest loser ever after Tapash
Rubel sucked and will suck in the future
etc...............

I think Shahadat can be the best choice but cannot say anything about Dollar. May be selectors have found something good. After all they are knowledgable than us.

No One!!!

We have Robin as the 3rd pacer. We don't need another one.

What Bagh mama and co in see $ that we can not see? In the poll he is the last one (even after someone like Roy) to be included in the team. My choice would have been either Talha or Rajib. No way Dollar should be in the team. He is not even worthy for A team selection

Bagh mama thinks he is a good allrounder

That's what he said when he selected Dollar for the first time.!

Well, what's the guarantee that Rasel won't get injured too and Zimbabweans won't start to beat the hell out of Nazmul? You need to be prepared for that kind of situations.

i dont know, how shahadat will be the best choice. he doesnt even know when he finished his bowling quota either in ODI or 20/20. he is a good test prospect but seems like he is losing there too.

in my opinion, it should be either talha (who is much more mature than his 16 yrs old debut) or sajedul (though he is only selected previously for test)

even ziaur rahman's selection wont be bad--- he is very ideal candidate for 20/20 bowler plus his hitting ability.

play robin but a replacement does need to be sent.

abul hasan had one good DPL season, since then he's been ok but nothing special tbh, keep him in the u19 and academy teams for now.

I voted for Talha. But does anyone remember Tapash Baishya? Tapash is definitely a a good bowler in T20s and has experience to back him up with a big heart
