Player Fitness
My mom (who has a great sense of humor) commented after BD's WC loss to SA: "Oder (SA) moto fol-fruit na kheye vaat kheye namse...tai ei obostha"
Jokes apart, I am often surprised to see the fitness level of BD players, i.e. I see Tamim panting after every 50 he makes. Also read about their strong preference for Vaat.
I am part of a expat forum where I saw Richard McInnes looking for a yoga instructor for the players. Wondering if we also have a good diet specialist/personal gym trainer. As someone who has been working out for few years..I can tell you how exercising properly combined with diet can shed your fat and increase your strength significantly in just a few months. Would be nice to see BD players get serious about that for a change.
Thoughts? comments?

These bunch have to lift weights bhais, morning and evening, and then have to run minimum 15 miles a day, like I do bhais, then we can see what is not working...+ Moshoor-er daal + 2 gamla sabji (niramish aka vegetables) and 1 goat (1ta pura (gota) chagol roast- per player, per day khetey hobey!! Taholey fitness + muscle keno hobey naa or baba hobey!

PCB's way of promoting fitness. Not a bad approach. I know we also do fitness tests etc, but our ones are more ad hoc. Key here is linking tests to contract. Those who slack would be punished, those who work hard will be rewarded. Maybe something for BCB to think about as well.
Clauses in PCB central contract 2014
The fitness testing conducted in May 2014 will be considered as the base line for all the participants
Twenty five percent of a player's monthly retainer would be deducted if they do not reach their subsequent fitness objectives
Three fitness tests will be conducted at four-month intervals. These tests will determine the eligibility for fines and incentives
By improving fitness to Level 4, a 10 % bonus on their one month's retainer will be offered to the player
For improving fitness levels to international standards, a 25% bonus on their monthly salary is awarded
A player would be fined 25% of their monthly retainer if their fitness levels decrease by 25%
Players will only be eligible for central contracts if they play at least 50% of total number of matches in the subject year. This will be applied to all three formats of the game
