We actually went there 6 people . Whatever AGC said is actually true. It was friendly banter and not hostile from indians , but what I didnt like is that they are boo-ing our players. There were repeated requests on the big screen to respect the players but it didnt stop. The indians seem to have learnt one thing though, drinking beer and dancing to music. The guy who was starting the cheer for "india india" was totally drunk and shaking on his feet, he hardly bother watching the game. My friend heard a joke "bangali vat khake aya" as the later bangladeshi batsmen could barely hit it out of the inner circle.

Anyway I enjoyed the atmosphere, the partisan crowd encouraged indian players. But with some luck and a bit better performance, the result could have been different.

its sad to see UK bangladeshi youth behave the way they do. here in america, none of the youth follow cricket or care about BD, despite having that superficial token "bengali pride". very few american born fans. recently i found out, one of my friends, just became a die hard cricket fan after WC 2007, but i wish there were more.

thankfully, the presence of shazad and rommel here give me some good company and hope.

all too often, cricket is viewed in the US, as a fobby pastime.

asad vai, i have noticed in many bangali gatherings how all these fat blokes be all braggin and jumpin up and down when lakers discussion and feel "Ashamed" to admit to talk about bd cricket....i think it's a f#$in fad where they think if you still love some game from motherland living here in the united states you will be "uncool." yet they got the typical "bangali khaslot" in addition to wearing cheap Tk100 shirt garb from Bongobazar. S-m-h.

these shows nothing but insecurity in our culture where we are reluctant to talk about our own sports and get all sheepish about it. one fool evn told me...you live here in us, you should like lakers why you still liking cricket... what a dumb--- i hate guys like these. they would go on ad nauseum about bd politics like "gramer nada" yet hide behind their dark skin when it comes to bd sports as it makes them "uncool"

Big middle finger to all of them.

OK, I guess if InshaAllah BD wins against Ireland, some more people would turn up in S8s. [I'm assuming they are so ignorant that they don't know that we're supposed to beat Ireland but will just jump on the win, and come for another one]

so straight men should go where girls are ? as girls dont like most of the sports anyway, a straight man should stay away from sports and only go in girly things. and by the very definition he wont remain a straight man, and become a straight woman then
