Can Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe?
I don't think so. Zimbabwe beat West Indies today in the 2nd ODI of that series! I don't think BD will even get close to beating Zim.
What are your views?
Score:
West Indies 125 (42.3 ov)
Zimbabwe 128/4 (29.4 ov)
Check out the last few overs:
| 4 1 . . 4 1 | 1 . 4 4 4 . | 4 1 . . . 1 |4 . . 1 N. . 1 | . . . . . 4 | 2 2 1 4

I've seen this match today. They've done everything perfect.
Not only did they bowl better, not only they had attempted to take great catch, but also they have taken wickets with good balls, they held on to simple catches and had taken the great catches, they had even made the most correct decisions that they can possibly can - OFF THE FIELD (in my eyes) - which was to let Streak himself come in at number 6.

Oh well, I was looking forward to the BD-Zim series but now, it looks like its just gonna be another whitewash.....
Hmm... just one match shouldn't put us down!

Comparing to Zimb\'s strength
Bdesh is no were close to like Zimb...they are way to much stronger in every department. We can manage win if and only if miracle happens.

I don't think so. The only difference between the current Zimbabwe and the Bangladesh side is the captain.
Heath Streak is a performing captain and Khaled Mahmud is/was a non-performing captain.
In other departments - bowling, batting, fielding - the efforts, the attempts are there, but not the results e.g., implementing the terrific fielding effort into a great catch - that is where we're still lacking.
I guess a specialist coach for every department can do wonders for the players, provided that they're not too tired after the Pak tour - playing for BD 'A'.

Zimbabwe beat West Indies in the 3rd ODI as well. Zimbabwe won by 21 runs.
Bangladesh will have a tough time....

will really have hard time
Zimb will be very very tough for us...I thought we will fetch a win but itz not possible ...our players don play like Streak, Blignaut, Vermeulen, Wishart, ...even new ppl Matsikenyeri and Taibu contributes for the country...for us if Bashar scores we reach 250 if Rajin, hannan or Musfiq scores we go max 180 range...with these contributions we can't fetch a win...we need a dramatic improvement

Lets not get our hopes hi
Zim is a lot better team even though they are rated at 9. i can say we may do well but they will always finish beter, that will probably make them win all the matches to. get ready for another whitewash.

Zimbabwe's bowling attack has always been a pathetic one, that's how we get to score ODI totals of more than 250s on more than one occassion.
Our bowling attack is even more pathetic, that's how the Zimbabwean batsman such as Dion Ebrahim, Craig Whisart, Trevor Gripper has either ODI or Test maiden Centuries against us.

we can only win if and only if our batsman makes the difference
if our top 6 batsman contribute something like what top 6 of aussies or indians top order do, then we can only do something different otherwise it's not the time yet for us to beat Zimb with our strength in bowling and batting departments.
