His hiring is a very positive step taken by BCB.

Welcome to BD, JF.
I hope he will bring positive & attacking mentality in our players as a whole not just in fielding. Fielding coach can teach you better fielding techniques but you have to care about saving every possible run. The fact is you cant be a good fielder if you are not a sincere player. Australia or South Africa will always be good fielding sides even if they dont have a fielding coach.

Hope he can make us one of the best fielding sides.
Thats one competitive advantage our boys should acquire.
You dont have to be a Sachin or Jacques or Kevin to be world's best fielder.

Dolcevita bhai, did Pakistan improve under his guidance? Or how did that turn out, can you shed any light?

Fountain was one of their best, if not the best. From whatever I've read and seen, he's a guy who knows his stuff. So not a bad decision at all, I'd say. It'd be much easy a task for him to coach BD, compared to Pak anyways.

And he should really work and improve the keeping first, keeping is totally below par, especially of the spinners.

Welcome Mr. Julien Fountain. Wish we will show some respect to you.

You know, we are more Pandit than you. Just after few days we will start to teach you what to do and ask you to resign.

Good Luck. I really feel sorry for you.

I am sure that he did not coach the same players who are now in the pakistan and WI TEAMS> IMO> THESE TWO TEAMS are the worst in fielding at the present time. I have noticed that the BD team has improved in their fielding, so with this new coach, they should be 20 % better by the time the world cup comes around, after these lads are young and agile. BTW, is the fielding coach responsible for wicket keeping coaching, I feel they need to send Mushy and Jahirul to train with a world class wicket keeper.

"I am really looking forward to joining Bangladesh in their search for World Cup 2011 success. Bangladesh are a young side who have proved that they are capable of beating the best sides in the world on their day.

"I honestly believe that as one of the host nations, Bangladesh are a really strong contender, and with the right preparation, who knows what they are capable of achieving," Fountain said.

He expressed interest in coaching Pak team for the second time, this year January. But I posted this link because of the picture this article has. Have a look.
