Primary squad of 17 for the Namibia & Zimbabwe is ALREADY announced!?!?!?!

I am a bit surprised, aren't you? Bangladesher Khela reports that the primary squad of Bangladesh national team for the upcoming important Namibia and Zimbabwe tour has been already selected and announced!

They are:-

2) Khaled Mashud
3) Habibul Bashar
4) Tapash Baisya
5) Hannan Sarkar
6) Shahriar Hossain
7) Rajin Saleh
8) Ehsanul Haque
9) Md. Ashraful
10) Tareq Aziz
11) Manjurul Islam Rana
12) Mushfiqur Rahman
13) Anwar Hossain Munir
14) Hasibul Hussain
15) Alok Kapali
16) Md. Rafique
17) MD Saleh

The only unknown face in this squad is probably MD Saleh - who seems to be brother of Rajin Saleh - a pace bowler.

I sincerely hope that Shariar Hossain delivers in the manner we would be needing him to - seems like the tougher the opposition became in Pakistan, the more he failed.

Those Namibia games sure will be important for him.

Two things... firstly... i never knew Bangladesh was touring Namibia!!! Are they internationals? Secondly... isn't Bangladesherkhela suppose to be unrelible (they were the guys who called the false alarm that the BCB was changing its logo)

Hasib, BD is going to Namibia to play a few practice match before starting the series against Zim.

Selim is a very common name, at least in bengali.

I don't know how those people who write in bengali can mess up between the names of Md. Selim and Md. Saleh (Saleh is a very tough name, compared to Selim).

It would be great for the bangladesh to play cricket against teams like Nambia. Bangladesh should also tour a game against Kenya and they should also conduct a tour of match against Kenya

It would be wonderful if Bangladesh could contact a domestic schedule involving teams from different developing countries of cricket.
This way they would be able to get more tougher domestic competetion, more sponsors, more TV rights and telecast, more money required for the improvement of team

For eg: Bangladesh can invite Scotland, Holland, Canada, UAE, Kenya, Ireland, Nambia, Afghanistan, etc to tour Bangladesh. They can coduct a domestic competition involving 2 or 3 teams of different countries and dividing the Bangladesh team into Bangladesh A, Bangladesh B, and Bangladesh C. Lots of youngester should also be given opportunities
They can also use some guest players not much about 2 to 3 players to play for their team in domestic competition

I am sure this would be a great sucess not only for the team but also for the international game

I like your idea of inviting foreign teams to participate in a Busta/Patron/Irani cup/trophy format. In addition to the countries you mentioned, I would not leave out the enterprising Nepalese, or Hong Kong.

I'm not one to cotton to conspiracy theories but, I don't think the Kenyans want to play us right now. Their claim to glory thus far has been that they can beat BD without breaking a sweat in ODI. The gap apparently has narrowed a tad, with the longer version of the game being a toss-up. Losing a series to the test babes serves no strategic purpose.

On the other hand, with their stars ageing however, this would be their last shot at easy series win against BD.

Perhaps closer to the approximate truth is the fact that with their administrative set-up in serious disarray, (The tug of war betweeen KCA and the sports ministry a.k.a. the indegenous vs the non-indegenous population is a veritable quagmire.) no one at the helm is willing to take the initiative and pick up the phone in Nairobi. The administrator's inability to quell a player's strike already cancelled the previous tour of BD to Kenya. If the administrators could have presented a united front, they would have told the players to taking a flying leap and played the "A' team, against guest they had invited to their home- not cancelled on them.
