and a big one too...141 off just 178 balls - typical bashar style! yay!

kapali scored 55 off 42 balls...hmmm...also took 4 wickets...best all rounder?

someone had mentioned on another thread that kapali's 4 came at the expense of enamul's performance...interestingly enough, if you look at his figures today, you'll be stunned - 40/19/45/3..lol...brilliant!

Wow!

But you have to remember that Barisal went all negative cricket. Didn't even try to score any runs. Just stay till the end of the 4th day and get a no decision.

i was surprised to read in another thread that McInness mentioned that because of the National League, the cricketer's fitness level seemed to have gone down and they haven't had enough practice.
But its definitely good to see Bashar catching some form before the tour.
After all- i don't want to see him repeating the shot he played first ball to Tino Best in WI!

Didn't say Kapali's wickets came at the expense of Enamul's performance (actually I don't even know what that means) but what I had said was that Enamul went wicketless on a day when Kapali picked up four wickets (trying to put it in perspective). Anyway, Enamul came back well today and picked up three lower order wickets. Well done.

As for Bashar, I think he needed to play a big one and did it at the right time. Now he just needs to finish off the NCL well, a couple of more big scores in the 4 remaining matches won't be bad. Tushar scored some runs but I really wish he would stop getting out after getting to his half century! He needs to go on and get a big score under his belt! Kapali played a cameo but there isn't much you can say about that. He needs to spend much longer at the crease, even if he scores less runs. He needs to play himself out of his bad form, right now he just seems to want to hit his way out of it!

Anyway, finally he did it. He scored the ton when the whole nation was waiting silently and expecting good knock from the national skipper, as many others have done it, even some of them did it more than once. I agree with Sham that he should hit few more huge scores in the remaining matches of the NCL.

I hope Bashar and some other injured players like rafique and rajin are allowed to continue playing NCL instead of joining national training camp for England tour because they've missed out on a lot of cricket practice.

He's player for the big occasion. Don't worry about his form in the domestic competition. However, it is refreshing to see so many centuries in one season

28 centuries so far this season with a few more rounds left. Last year had a total of 14 centuries. This is a good sign. They are learning to play longer innings.

Yes he did score a century but i think he made a selfish decision to bat out most of the day and leave only 20 overs to bowl out his opposition. Should've made a match of it!

Interesting - Bashar averages 34.83 in Tests and 34.60 in 1st Class (source: http://www.cricketarchive.co.uk/Arch...2203/2203.html). So he _does_ play better in international cricket
