Default New Zealand in Dire straits

Nice to see Bangladesh dominating the Black caps on the second day.

The Bangladesh Bowlers have done remarkably well in all the one dayers and now in the Test. First the pacers –Mashrafe , Rasel. and now Saqibul.

BTW , Do we have a new Bowling coach ? Remarkable improvement by our bowlers so far.

Saqib’s magical figures of 6 for 31 speaks for itself.

Having said we must not forget the gutsy and brave knocks of Mehrab and the Golden boy Rahim who salvaged bangadesh form a precarious situation to a respectable position.

A first innings total of 245 is not safe . A 300 figure would have been better.
But now with New Zealand batting in shambles , it looks okay.

The pacer should strive to polish off the last man in no time.

Presently New Zealand has a 90 runs deficit.

If we can clean them up at same score it will be the best.

In no case it should go beyond 80.

Vettori is a Tough and smart Cookie. Will not give up so easily. Will battle it out.

BD has a record of collapsing in the second innings. We have to progress carefully and cautiously.

We need solid knocks from non performers with the bat – Ash, Zunaed., Saqib

Responsible innings expected from Tamim and Rajin.

Today will be critical for both the teams.

Can Bangladesh give a good reply or Black Caps will roar back ?

I would like to finish with legendary Boxer Mohammad Ali’s Famous Pre Boxing bout Mantra

‘BD Tigers will fly like a bird and sting like a bee at the Black caps today'

May God the Almighty and Merciful help us achieve our goal.

Allah Hafez !

We need to take the last wicket as soon as we can, may be for the addition of 10 runs or so. Then with an 80-runs lead we need to bat on the entire 3rd day and at the least score 200 runs. NZ will find it hard to win scoring 280+ runs if our bowlers bowl like they are doing in the first innings. This is a golden opportunity for us. By 2nd test match, NZ will come out very strong.

Yup, remember Jason Gillepsie's double hundred in 2006?

We are gonna have to score at least 250 in the second innings. Ash and Tamim have to fire this time. The pitch is going to favor spinners more and more, so we will have to watch vettori. The balance of this test could be decided by him.

Is there any video of Shakib's catch on the last ball of 2nd day (Ashraful getting Patel)?

I saw that catch on the news...and I was shocked! That was like one of the best catches i've seen by a BD player. I would say Sakib's Catch was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Tamim's catch against SL.

Default Keep Going Shakib and Nayeem

Keep Going Shakib and Nayeem.

If the lead can be stretched to 250 It will be competitive .Anything 275 or above wil be be a bonus in this wicket which is taking a lot of turn.

Default Lead 210 now - Saqib 44

Good shot Saqib. You are 44 now 6 short of a well deserved 50.

Keep going!

Game slowed Down. It is okay. Lead 239 . Wickets intact . No worries

Frustrate the bowlers. They will bowl some loose deliveries and pounce on it
