Agreed.

Though he wasn't his brilliant self with bat or ball, he did a good job by picking the right team, good field placements and timely bowling changes.

Sure he can stay, as I never demanded his captaincy be removed.

However, in my eyes, there was other performers who made this thing happened...

1. Fielding was overall great except those missed opportunites.

2. Bowling wise I liked Rubel's bolwing more than Shafiul for FBs. And I liked Razzak and Naeem's bolwing more than Shakib and Ryiad's. I thought NRazzak, Naaem and Rubel was top three bolwer.

3. I thought Tamim was batting with confidence with less risky shots, until that one ball rattled his wicket. Imrul was shaky at the begining, but end up building the innings, Shakib and Ryiad supported, and Shafiul from nowhere stole the show. The rest of the batsman is like Hagu.

4. while fielding, we did great at the begining and at the end, specially when during power plays. But I thought, in the middle, we were too conservative in field position, and and end up giving too many runs. However Morgan was also responsibe for that middle innings meltdown.

5. So I am not sure the genius of captance win us the game. Overall good fielding, good bolwing and some individual heroics with the bat win us this game. I have no complain with the captaincy either.

shakibs field placing was brilliant. I remember he moved kayes on tht leg side position when morgan got strike and next ball he was out...
during powerplay he took the step to bowl and he was sensational under pressure....i liked Trouts wicket. it was planned and fieldr was at right position...he and razzak was unplayable... because of his guts we saved at least 15-20 runs during powerplay....

so please take anything away from shakib... infact it was his revenge game towards the subudhabadi fans who turned their back on him.

Where I cricitzed?

I pointed out the "greats" and the "goods" and "not so goods" as I watched the game. You may disagree what I said, thats fine, then share what you think. We may see the same game but come up with different opinion who contributed how much in this win.

There is no point in name calling a fans against others (which you didn't do, someone else did). Just because we may disagree with each other, that doesn't give us the right to say other member "you are lesser of a BD Cricket team Fan".

There is nobody shubidhabadi here, only who raise this personal attack are the real divider of Bangladesh Fans. They don't know how to respectfully disagree with other members.

Any way these commnets are not towards you as you didn't involved in name calling.

Shakibs captaincy has been spot on today. i'm not a massive fan of his captaincy, but today he's set aggressive field and strangled them in the middle and death overs. Liked how he maintained a slip for morgan despite him scoring runs freely.

Well, I had to drop my daughter in the school and Bangladesh lost Shakib at that time. I turned off my computer and dropped my daughter in the school. When I came back, we lost eight wickets and 50+ runs to win. I was upset and tried my best to change my mood before heading to the office. I already informed my wife that Bangladesh lost again! Anyway, I got on to my SUV, headed towards the office but worried about my colleagues (Indians) for making fun of our loss(we are good friends, give hard times one another !). I had hard times when we bundled out for 58! But, they even encouraged me that we should come back.

When I sit in my cube, I thought that I should check the score as how close we were defeated! With my surprise, I discovered the truth ! Tiger came back strong! They beat England. I was all over in the office. All my friends congratulated me. It is a feeling that only tiger fans will be able to realize!

It reminded me of ICC trophy when we beat Netherland (Akarm Khan's heroic efforts). I wrote a letter to Cricinfo with the title "Bangladesh, Don't cry for cricket!" and it was published in the front page!

After the defeat against WI, we all were upset. I felt like vomiting!

I just called my wife to convey the message. Her demand is to take the family for a dinner. You bet, I will
