Congratulations to Ashraful for becoming the vice-captain of Bangladesh
Many congratulations to Mohammad Ashraful for becoming the vice-captain of Bangladesh. According to media reports he will take the captaincy role after the retirement of Bashar from ODI.
Ashraful will also remain as vice-captain of the test side.
This is a bold move and I hope this will bring out the best from Ashraful. That will obviously result in successes for Bangladesh cricket team.
He showed good cricketing sense in his previous captaincy assignments with Sonargaon and Dhaka Division, I hope he will be a pro-active captain for Bangladesh.
Ashraful, good luck and wish you all the best.
This is the thread to congratulate Ashraful.
If you don't like to do that, please keep away from this thread.

Congrats Ash. Smash the opponents bowlers, and thrash the team, and then burn them into ashes. That's all we want from you.

Averaging above 30 in the last 50 games he has played it is a timely move if not a perfect move by BCB. One that should have been considered long before so that others (not me) wouldn't have got too excited or worried. He truly a world class and I think his cricketing brain and his motivational skills along with this invaluable experience will make us a team dream for. And mark my words, he is gonna take every little opportunity he gets, afterall he didn't get it easily like SN. He had to wait 7 years and multiple captaincy experience to get here. It's not just a fluke. I am not saying SN was a fluke but he surely has a lot to prove and I honestly hope he does that. But when we have Ashraful why do we have to look at others for captain?
Congrats again and I hope you are the captain for the 20-20 world cup and also the next 2011 world cup where we are expecting a tournament win. Hoping to see him set a new era and these targets least of all

Congratulation to our Ash.
May this bring the urgency in him and tranform him into a force to reckon with in world cricket.
Agree with Miraz bhai.
Wish him all the best.

Congrats Ash... good move by BCB by aappointing the number one match winner of the team to lead. He has gone through many pressure situations regarding his carrier as well as team performance.. and here he is... still surviving. Best of luck Ash and BD team.

NOt very impressed by this move. Hopefully this move wont backfire, which I think almost bound to happen. On the other hand though I think BCB should be taught a lesson also. So I will just wait and see what happens. But Im really not that ecstatic to hear this. But anyways congratulations Ash.

Congrats Ash, although I dont like the move fearing your consistency problem. Wish you all the best.
OFF TOPIC: in this series, we will observe a competition between ash and bash. BCB has insisted Bash to retire, but no doubt that he will try his best. So will SN. So, Mr Ash, dont get overwhelmed, be ready to compete with SN and Bash.

Boy i believe you will be one of the best ever ODI captain in cricket history. I know this responsibility will bring positive change in your attitude and game plan. Ponting was a bit careless before getting captaincy. But after getting captaincy he became very much consistent. I hope your career graph will follow his footprint.
Best wishes again and love for a future wonderful captain and great batsman.

Then express your opinion in your own thread. Miraz bhai clearly requested this thread is to congratulate only.
If you disagree, go do it somewhere else.

According to my future assumptions, on the way things are progressing, Ashraful might just revolutionize our cricket after becoming the captain.

HOW many VC we had last 4 years? can any one tell me?
I know at least two of them lost their form after becoming VC.
Hope ash showing more maturity than those two.
