Ash already can't play his natural game because of huge pressure from fans, media, team management. Marrying will only add to his pressure woes, as he will get jharur-bari from his wife if he fails to score.

So, let me get it right.
It says he's gonna marry next year.
And this is just January of this year.
Too early for misti.

Or maybe that's the kind of treatment he needs to start scoring.

Jharu-therapy is the best medicine for Ash. When Ash wl do any mistake/fault his wife will be there with her Jharu. By this way Ash will get used to the life without any fault/mistake. And we will see him scoring hundreds after hundreds without giving bowlers any chance:-)

Why would you want Tendulkar at your wedding? Instead of the focus being on the bride and the groom, it will become all about Tendulkar. :X

LOL. I can not imagine Ash with a wife! He's such a lost child.
He needs a wife who'll beat him up everytime he scores below 10 =P

ALL THE BEST TO ASH!!! HOPE HE FINDS THE PERFECT WOMAN

- I wish Ash the best in life. However, after waiting for a decade, I have given up on him. That inning against Australia really got me pumped up. I could see that this boy had the raw talent to be a batsman of the highest caliber. However, talent only can take you only so far. Hard work, discipline, and maturity are equally or even more important. I will be happy if he proves me wrong. But, he has been playing for 10 years, and his window will close soon.
- Please refrain from attacking the other forum members. Yes, we sometimes pull the leg of other members, but it is mostly in jest. How do you know how much the others here know about cricket? I have found most of the forum members to be well versed in cricket. I used to follow cricket when I was very young. I started to really get into it since the 1976/77 tour of England to India. SL (did not have test status at the time) visited BD around the same time. (Boy, did we get thrashed!) I think I have picked up at least some knowledge during these 33 years, from watching, listening, and reading cricket.
For those who are interested, my favorite cricket writers are Shankari Prasad Basu, Mati Nandy, Sunil Gavaskar, Donald Bradman, and the best of the best, Neville Cardus. Shankari Prasad Basu has moved on to write about other things, but no Bangali writer has surpassed him until now.

You are wrong. I met him once in Dominica, after BD won test series in WI. He was sitting outside the stadium on the footpath. He had track-suite and snicker, came to check the practice venue before team arrive. First glance did not recognize him. I shook hand, gave him salam and ask him " khokon ashben?" "ekter dike ashbo practice corte." He was not any way boostful or nervous. He was very casual and down to earth. He is very simple off the field and serious in the field.
Make no mistake I do like Ash as well, he is a good player just that he needs some fortune to be world class player like Tendulkar.

In an interview, a few years ago, Ash said that marriage was not in his thoughts at least until he is in his late twenties, because cricket consumes his life, playing, travelling etc, it is difficult with the time constraint to devote oneself to making your partner happy.
He is right. Dhoni was also asked the same question and he said that he could not commit to any woman, because cricket also consumes his life. Let's face it, Dhoni is also quite a catch, but in his own words, "I cannot have a date", then tells the girl, "See you in six weeks time"
