Default Akthar destroys Panthers in Pentagular One Day Cup

This comes right after he was slapped around by our batsmen in the NCL. Maybe he hasnt completely lost it after all...

Good news for our domestic strength maybe?

He had a 300 run padding going for him. However, 4 bowled and one caught behind shows he was very accurate. His Econ was not that good but better than Sohail, Junaid Khan.

The fans over at Pakpassion are over the moon, saying they havent seen him with this kind of control over accuracy or swing since his peak in '99. Apparently, he constantly hit the 90mph barrier too...

Our domestic leagues have improved by miles. Players like Imran Farhat and Faisal Iqbal used to top the charts with their eyes closed 4-5 years ago but now our teams send them back home early due to unsatisfactory performances. The success of Riyad in Test cricket after his success in the NCL shows that the link between good performance in NCL and success in International cricket has strengthened. I am not saying if a player dominates NCL he will be successful in International cricket but that you can't be successful if your NCL record sucks. That's why I believe there is no hope for Ashraful and Aftab in Test cricket. Basically what I'm saying is the NCL is a much better indicator of a player's development than it used to be when NCL performances were shrugged off as meaningless. But there is still huge room for improvement.

Look at the quality of the broadcasting. Can't we get Geo to produce the NCL T20 next year?

Definitely miles better than ATN.

Commies seem just as miserable though... How many times did the guy say "Aur bowled kardiya!"?

akhter is a destroyer in pak domestic leaugue

but

akhter is destroyed in BD domestic leaugue.

so the conclusion is BD domestic cricket better than Pak domestic cricket.

actually shoaib was bowling well in NCL, but the batters were also batting very well against him except nazmus sadat

I disagree here, in PCL Imran Nazir and Shoab Malik mocked our bowlers, Shoaib was playing after a long time so offcourse it will take him a while to get his rhythm back, Brett lee was smashed all over the park in IPL are you going to say IPL is better than Aussie Big Bash?

Shoaib looks fitter than ever, glad to see that he put on muscle and lost the fat.
Mash really needs to lose his pregnant belly and get tonned, he'll get more pace for sure, but bangladeshi foods are hard to avoid , mojja mojja.

I am very bullish on Zohirul. I believe he can become (one of) the mainstay batsmen of our Test team. Still need to see how he fares in One-Day cricket.

Tamim Iqbal
-
-
Mushfiqur Rahim
Mahmudullah
Naeem Islam
Shakib Al Hasan

Zunaed Siddique, Zohirul Islam, Rokibul Hasan and Shuvagoto Hom I believe will battle for the two vacant spots in our Test batting order in the days to come. And Dhiman will slot in as specialist keeper at no. 8
