Keep in mind NZ and SL always perform extraordinarily at tournaments.

I think given the two groups we are still better off being in the group that we are in.
India, having a young side and having won ICC champions trophy are going to be the no. 1 contender for the title. South Africa are always good minnow bashers during group stage. We have an abysmal record against Pakistan regardless of whether Saeed Anwar or Nasir Jamshed is in the side.
Australia, NZ and Sri Lanka will not have a fearsome batting lineup. So it will be up to our batsman to be able to handle pace and bounce. Whether we can do that depends on our preparation prior to the tournament. I think Tamim, Nasir and Mushfiq will enjoy the conditions because they are strong square of the wicket. Anamul did very well in U19 WC in Australia as well. The big question is Shakib's batting form. If he clicks we can upset any team in that group. I hope we can go there early and play practice games to acclimatize

The way i see it...we ALREADY won the world cup. every loss that we shall face in the tourney will deviate and lessen points from winning the cup taking us to a negative slot

BCB should arrange BD A tour to Australia and NZ immediately and should include all the national players, so that they get used to the conditions before WC.

Which ever group we're in, it will be a tough group. We make it tough. But I believe regardless of the group, we can make it to 2nd round.

Well, even if we lose, we should pray that it is at least a respectable loss, right?

Bangladesh last played in Australia in 2003. After 12 years, we will play again in 2015. If it was not for World Cup, the wait would have been longer. ICC game distribution is so pathetic that even with only 10 nations, one member has to wait 12 years!!

I am just excited to see our players in those big Australian stadiums. Shakib, Tamim, Mushy would be long gone if we wait another 12 years. So once in a lifetime opportunity to see them.

Not necessarily bro.

We played Aussie in our backyard in 2011 while some games against Aussie in Darwin in 2010. 2008

Not right bro. Bangladesh last played in Australia in 2008. Bangladesh played 3 ODI series. We lost badly in the first ODI (getting all out for 70 odd runs, lowest against Aus) but we had a good chance of winning the last ODI. We got them under 200 runs but we could only manage to score 120 odd runs ! The reason i remember the series well because i came to Australia just 2 months prior to the series
