"The BCB is finally giving Naimur a chance to come back in the international competitive cricket. However, an adviser was doubtful over Naimur’s return as they got a mixed reaction from the former captain.
If Naimur refuses to join the team there will be a change naturally." - NewAgeBD

not a bad team by any means. i like the way they are testing out al shahriar in the duleep trophy before including him in the national team. i'd like to see the young guns perform as well. i wonder why enamul wasn't included.

this should also be a chance for kapali to show his worth. if he fails, well, it should be another long wait for him.

i would also like to see tareq aziz, pavel and rana display their abilities in the longer version of the game.

as for anwar hossain, is he a wicket keeper? would be interesting to see how he performs, considering the fact that pilot will have to retire one day.

I am interested to see how 'Pavel', the unknown commodity does. He did pretty well in domestic league this year. Lest see if he can do well in the next level. The other three inieresting character (for different reasons) are Alok, Al Shahriar and Tarek Aziz.

Who knows with very good performance Alok can change my mind.

I think Nafis will lead the Team.
We have some fresh blood here and the Team looks very promising.
Notable players like Mashrafee are Tapash are missing.
Who is the wicket-keeper in absense of Pilot?

i'd also keep my eye on rana - to see how he copes with the demands of the longer version of cricket.

Hannan Sarker is missing from both of the team. Is his career is pretty much done? Very sad. He had some potential.

if durjoy plays...then he'll be the captain (as far as i know). else rajin will take that role. masri and tapash have both been rested, so they dont get injured again. same with bashar, rafiq and pilot.

i know enamul will join the A team in UAE soon. are hannan and tushar in that team too?

Good squad, looks like they want to try out new players. Though, I think some expierence is a needed just so that the team will be more confident. Maybe Saleh. Not your most expierenced and all, but a yr of expierence is quite alot in BD cricket.

I do not know why they did not select Emanuel Haque(is he injured, I didn't see him in ODIs after a astonishing test series). Well, I think that is the only person they are missing. He is good, but also young and a bit raw. So give him much expierence as possible.

I know and I agree with you.

CTazim mentioned he is in team-a. I was pointing out that he is not in the team-a.

regarding the team's captaincy, I am pretty sure Naimur Rahman will be given the job, given that he accepts the offer to play for the team in the first place. Otherwise, Rajin is the obvious choice.

Btw, is Pavel the wicket keeper ? What happened to Md Salim ?

Seems like a pretty good team. It would have eased my heart a little more if Mashrafe and/or Tapash were on. Also I think they need another dependable batter like Bashar or Rafique.

those guys a) don't have anything to prove, and b) do not need to risk injury.

It is a good team which may form the core of BD test team in future once the vererans like Bashar, Rafique and Mashud retire.

By the way what are these three as well as Mashrafe and Baishya going to do in this period?. I hope they will be resting or going to the nets to fine tune their game. If, on the other hand, they decide to play club cricket, then well, playing Duleep trophy against stiffer opposition would have been better.

The experienced players will be playing in the National League in all likelihood. They need to play in Bangladesh's own first class tournament to give it some standard. We need to pay some more attention to domestic cricket.

Why does the BCB bother with Naimur "the Morx" Rahman , anyway? He really is not a special player by any stretch of the imagination, yet his ego from being an ex-captain is so big! He refuses these tours because he probably feels slighted that he can't just get a recall to the first team directly. He has no interest in working harder than playing domestic cricket against substandard opposition.

As for Hannan not getting club games, if he has any talent he will be back. Just earlier this season Enamul couldn't get a club game either. Maybe our clubs are just getting better?

Finally Naimur got the chance and hope this time he will not refuse the offer though I doubt he may not do well in India as they have more experiences in playing against off spinners. Anyway hope he will succeed at the end and return to BD team. But then who will be replaced by him in the present TEAM BANGLADESH?? I guess Alok Kapali.

There is one similarity between Naimur and chacha. Both of them have strong political connection.

For Naimur's case as his relative I can tell you the following factors helped him a lot:

His late father was ex MP of that regime

His Mama(one of the big brother of Abahoni)

and

Basundhora group

For Chaha we all know

Arafat Rahman orofe KoKo Bhai

so both of them are well aware that they may not get any favor under new regime.
