India started terribly!!! Being struck on the head 3 teams and Chopra should have been run out early!!! The in the last couple of overs it all turned around with Sehwag blazing his way to 50 though he was out stumped earlier!!! Now India are in a great position at 0/89 at lunch

LUCKY INDIANS!!!
Katich dropped a sitter and Langer got fingers on a hard hit one!!
Plumb LBW turned down by Bowden
Sehwag drove straight hit the stumps at the other end, Williams was jumping up and down claiming he touched it, Chopra's bat was in the air, replays were inconclusive

It is a slaughter at MCG. Nothing going Australia's way.
219/1 at tea. Sehwag scored 85 between lunch and tea. Runs were scored at 4.8 per over in the second session.

India failed to capitalize on Shewag as they were packed back to the pavion in a hurry on 366/10.

There's plenty left in the match but must admit - Indian bats blew it. Sehwag's 195 deserved better support - they should have taken to around 450. India went from 278 for 2 to 366 all out.
Australia looking good at 117 for 1 but after the last test, I have lost a little faith in the Aussie batting. If someone like Agarkar (41/6 in the second inn in the second test) can bring Australia to their knees .......

India did blow it today considering where they were at yesterday. However, the runs almost stopped flowing towards the end yesterday. You have to be aggressive against them all the time. timidity will only bring in your own demise. five ducks from Indians didn't help either. aussies are 136 for 1 now!! The game has turned towards the Aussies now. I don't believe there will be a repeat of last test collapse. that was an anomaly. saying that, anything still can happen

317 for 3
Despite losing Haydo and Gilli within minutes, Australia positioned themselves quite comfortably with Ponting leading the charge.
Did Bevan retire from Test cricket ? How come he has not played test cricket for such a long time ?

Doesn't suit him....can't play the short balls or something and wasn't doing well enough in the Pura Cup
Now after a double ton for NSW there's talk of him making a comeback
But I really doubt that happening...Waugh's replacement will be Katich no doubt...he's got the wood over Bevan in my books
Haydos
Aflie
Punter
Marto
Kat
Boof
Gilly
That's the way it will go

Another double hundred for Punter!!!
Amazing stuff...scored over 1400 runs this year at an average of over 100!!!
That on top of captaining Australia to WC Glory!!!
Also great courage from Steve Waugh batting out there at the moment with a possibly broken arm...it will be tragic if this is his last test and doesn't get to finish at his SCG!

Greatness- one word that describes Ponting. need not say more.
Hayden on the other hand is a century maker period. All his good starts always end in centuries. amazing these two

Was it really necessary to promote Gilchrist yesterday ? sometimes these overaggressive stuff by the Aussies defy logic. Can't really fault them as it rarely fails them.
