Default Possiblities of getting talent from other countries/associate nations

Can Bangladesh pull off a England and persuade some talents from associate level countries such as the Irish,Nepalese. Heck even Zimbabwe...... These guys have a ton of talent, especially if we can persuade some of their tall fast bowlers to migrate to Bangladesh to pursue a career in cricket. If we can get the likes of Ryan Burl,Craig Ervine, Sompal Kami, or any of the other whites from Zimbabwe imagine what our side would be like..... England and Australia have lots of Zimbs and Irish in their Squad
Cartwright,Ballance,Willey,Jennings and more are all zimbs, not to mention Brendan Taylor, Ray Price,Curran Brothers have all migrated to England....Why Can`t we do the same and get some talent from Afghanistan,Nepal,Ireland or even Zimbabwe

Would be nice to see a side with ethnic diversity....., we can get talent from Kenya all the associate african nations, just like what south africa has done, imagine a team with bangladeshi batsmen and tall Kenyan/Irish Fast bowlers

On a latter note did you know the top wicket takers in U19 WC were from Associate nations, what future do they hold when they are from Namibia/Nepal/Ireland

Let these guys perform in our domestic and see if they can make it to our national squads

Rashid Nabi Shehzad would literally catwalk into our side right now. The Zadrans can be our pace bowlers.

Afghans are too brave and ambitious to play for our sorry lot.

It won't work. They will soon setup up factories around Dhaka region and start poaching players from cricket camps to work in them.

2 days ago people from all over the world including the fans in BC were ecstatic about the progress in BD cricket.. Everything seemed right then. Now just because we lost you are trying to say that we are in such bad position that we have to bring talents from elsewhere? Really? That's just a short term solution that won't do any good to help the local talents

Don't do it.
No one wants the reputation NZ and England has.
In Australia at least they move here young, and we don't have that rep.
We can afford to be multi cultural. We have room too.
You guys will get there, just have patience.

Too much impatience on our end, that is true. Even I am guilty of that. I think it is years of frustration and a build up to where it is now, it wasn't there at first. It's hard to explain, when you invest that much time and energy and it works out like it has, it is frustrating. The only good times I can remember watching BD cricket was the shots Soumya played, or the shots Shabbir played against Sri Lanka. Those sort of defiance and heroics are admired but not needed, we need more stability and patience and grit.

True.
I have to have patience with our soccer and Rugby team,I mean England rugby bt us for the first time in a 100 years and it was an Aussie coach.
Soccer without bragging we did win the Asia Cup in soccer, but we didn't play Japan in the final, that would have been sweeter. In soccer in world cup we never get past the first phase.

BFF tried to implement this-naturalise 3-4 African based players who have been playing in Bangladeshi league for more than 4-5 years. BFF has been unable to produce proper strikers, defensive midfielders-as a result have targeted overseas players. Never materialized, maybe political opposition to the idea.

It wont work in cricket either, unless of course one of the parent is a Bangladeshi or the said person has migrated to BD.

Interesting thought. It is quite common to see non-whites playing in white nations (Khawaja, Moin Ali, Hashim Amla), but not vice versa. Bangladesh does not have a multicultural society so it just wouldn't work. Same principle goes for India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
