| "County Cricket" as a Sub-Forum |
In honor of Shakib & Tamim and it would boost up the interest and activity of cricket loving fans on this particular famous cricketing event. As we can see a few Bangladeshi cricketers are now playing at this level it can be easily assumed that fans will be regular to this sub-forum. Moreover, it would be easy for us to share and review news of certain clubs "IPL/ICL sux, County Cricket rocks" as Tamim would suggest :p

That's a good Idea. I think that it would direct attention to one spot for those who want it, rather than spamming the Bangladesh cricket sub-forum.

There are no guys. Often it appears these days to be only me. And right now I'm up in the mountains of PA with intermittent net access. But I did intend to update the tour section from your list which is much appreciated.

Seen as though the itinerary for the Zimbabwe tour has been announced, wouldn't the clock and a few other things need updating?

Countdown updated. Rest will follow.
[I'm out of the mountains of PA where net access had been spotty. I will still have intermittent access as I leave the East Coast and head West]

Nice one
Later on, will you make a full calender of the FTP?

We have a really outdated one that needs updating. Will you look at that and let me know what kind of changes would be good when I start updating.
Go to the top menu of BC, chose tours. You'll see a sub-menu for FTP on the left hand side.
Everyone is requested to offer suggestions and comments.

Okay boss. Currently the FTP shows this coming up for 2012 (as the 2011 one is all right at the moment, it doesn't need much changing. (Except Changing the 2 test's scheduled for Zimbabwe August 2011, it should be 1 test).
Quote:
Host England in two Tests and 3 ODIs in Jan-Feb.
Asia Cup in February.
Host Sri Lanka in five ODIs in March
|
England aren't scheduled to come, as they did it in 2010, so that should be edited out.
Pakistan will tour (according to the FTP) in April 2012 (2 tests, 3 ODI's)
Zimbabwe will tour in August (2 tests, 3 ODI's, 2 T20's).
Then the T20 world cup will come, which although not formally dated as of yet, it will most likely be in June.
West Indies tour in November (2 tests, 5 ODI's, and 2 T20's)
That's basically all the updates required for 2011 and 2012.
(Edit: There will also New Zealand touring in February not written in FTP, as it is for the test series that didn't happen due to both teams opting for ODI practice).

1. How come when you post a thread or even reply sometimes it takes forever to refresh and post unlike being instantaneous like in the past? (Sometimes it even caused me to lose volumes of data.)
2. And how come even when you read a sub-forum the 'redness' doesn't go away rather you have to put Mark Forums read?
3. And how come when you search with the default option of 'show threads' it results in Posts and not threads themselves and thus you have to go to advanced option always? Sometimes you search, say food, and it just shows ALL threads.
Thanks.

Can we introduce some sort of 'reward' program for members who gives us live feed and updates from the stadiums during matches that are not covered by any media ??
Guys like Magic boy, Hoodlum, AbuDarda is doing a fantastic job taking their time out of enjoying a game of cricket to constantly give us live feedback, score update and commentaries.
Since the admins dont give out free candies, (t-shirt, coffee mug, key ring etc), how about a customized nick, say for a week ??
How about titles like "Member of the week" , "Special Contributor of the week", things like that.
Personally, I think there should be some reward based recognition program for members who are going out of their way to help all of us here.

in addition to this, can we introduce some kind of punishment like ban while match is on, or deducting some post counts for those who reside in the same location where the match is going on but don't bother to give us updates let alone going to stadium ?
lol......kidding

Excellent idea. At least we can start off with nominations for the simple acknowledgement of special nick status.
Any other nominations to the above?
