Default send ashDAfool to do some community service

ashDAfool needs to be given a rest from international cricket and domestic cricket until the end of WC 2011. starting from 21st february 2010 and ending on 2nd April 2011, the day the 2011 WC final will be held on mumbai.

in this period let ashDAfool do some comunity service. lets him do the coaching of a team. and i suggest an AFGHANISTAN u-15 team. i think coaching such a team will grow some maturity in his mind. may be when he will see his pupil doing something wrong like he is doing he will realize what he was doing. this could be a good experience for ashDafool.

I have an idea, let's push Shahadat up to 4, and play another bowler. That must work, as our batting and bowling improves.

Love him or hate him as a player, when your fingers are itching to push that new thread button, Ashraful is your best friend

I think when he gets off the team, the number of threads are gonna go up. because now he is right in front of everybody everyone can see what he's doing, but with off camera no one will know what he is up to. and the level of curiosity will rise like crazy.

Not a bad idea. From community orgnanizer, Obama became President. So, from community organizer, Ash will become ______________________.

guys, i think its pathetic how some people are treating him in this forum
is this how to treat national players?
even shakib once said, that they try their heart and soul for bd team.
Theres one thing we have to get clear her...WE ARE NOT INDIANS. we are bangladeshis and its high time we stick up for our players!!
i agree ash needs a rest. a long run in domestic cricket. but whats with all these nasty comments about it??
i remember when habibul was going through a reaaly bad patch, and finalyy got dropped. the treatment of him was just disgusting! habibul was a great servant to bd cricket. and ash has given is many many memorable victories. our only win against aussie. our only win agasint southafrica. our only win against new zealand....whats the trend here guys? ash made a big contribution in each!
i say leave ash alone. let him take a break, drop him yes. but but lets stop it with these nasty comments.
please
lets hope and pray that he comes back strong

Don't be so dramatic. He just needs to go back to the domestics (something that should have happened a while back!). He is out of form and has been for a while. If he gets his form back and works through his issues he can be back. That is all.

List of community service available right now according to the guideline of Bangladesh High court :

1. Pick up trash on the ten mile stretch of Dhaka-Pagla highway.
2. Tend the cauliflower and carrot field of Dhaka Central Jail for two hours between 7am-9am.
3. Distribute free balloons to govt controlled red light districts in Old Dhaka and Dawodkandi.
4. Help municipality workers to remove old signboards of Intl airport and help install the new name of the Airport as well.
5. Assist the caretaker of Baldah garden apply manure to its 'fool' garden.
6. Help DMP to stop motorcars driving without 'kalo kali' on their headlights, and paint them on spot.

Next week the Govt. will announce new set of 'to do list', and I will publish it promptly. Till then, these are available.

How can we accept that since 2008 his test performance is worse than Shahadat ?
Ashraful's batting average is 13,5 with a high score of 39 ... Since 2008
please

going back to the NCL did not help him so far

7-0-45-0 in bowling

0(5) in batting

He's surely got to be dropped after this woeful performance in the NCL. I think someone else deserves a chance now

I agree. Ash in ODIs is tolerable (and probably justifiable) but in ODIs he should definitely be replaced.

I'd go for naeem, aftab or kapali (in that order).

Do u mean tests? If yes then I think we could move Mahmudullah upto #5 and Naeem Islam at #8. That would solve his replacement. And I would have Aftab, Raqibul and Shariar for #4 spot in that order.

Raquibul is much better than Aftab or Nafees

He's not been scoring of late though and his test record isn't great. I want to see Aftab tried in the one dayers against England, if he scores well then he continues into the test team. If he doesn't do well, then I would have Raqibul in the Test team. From the way the two play, Aftab is more suited to odis and Raqibul to tests. But like I said, I think whether Raqibul plays in the test team will depend on Aftabs form in the odi, unless Ashraful gets dropped in the test team and they play both of them in the test team.

All our players are way too young to be written off for good. I want Ash kept away from the National team for the remainder of this year for both the team and himself.

If we don't have a better team chemistry and have holes to fill that Ash is qualified for he should be in contention.

Bottom line is that once in the national team, it should be your spot to lose by poor performance but by no means should you be considered cemented with notable performances once in a blue moon (btw, for those not familiar with this term, its when a full moon happens twice in the same calendar month. Roughly an average of every 19 months. So not necessarily as long as the common phrase is interpreted to be).
