Watched it it was such a bore feast. Worst ceremony ever. I was a huge fan of bollywood. These days not so much. Its getting boring every show, event, its bollywood same old dance. Ask most people in that region they would have said present our culture, tradition in this ceremony doing certain acts. Yes, the new 'modern' desis might enjoy these masaladar lungi dance songs and stuffs, most grown up mature people take certain things serious, and this ceremony could have been chance for the WB people to showcase the Bengali culture, history, nice little acts/play, . that's how proper ceremonies should be, showing your culture, tradition. Then the wider cricket watching people may know a thing or two about that place of event, ipl is watched in most of the cricket nations.
If you think it was entertaining. You have not watched enough of bollywood same old songs dances. I used to love it back in the day. These days you see there are millions of Bolly awards shows. Gets boring, seeing it everywhere, even in cricket. Fs!

I didn't watch, nor did I have time and urge for it.
These dances, songs, laser show, or fireworks is a copy of western celebration of events like new years, Disney, fiesta etc. I guess, IPL Mgmt is catering to those audience.
Plus, "jatey uthsi" type of mentality doesn't help.

You don't need to be sorry for anything. You are well within your rights. K_S is just angry for some reason. I don't watch Annoto jalil. The Ads are worse as it is. Welcome to BC, Shawniihill. Put some people to ignore list and you will fit in fine. Takes time to get use to.
