Not enough bowling in that line-up though. Mash, Gazi, Rubel and Shakib would have to do 4 over each. It also means that we don't have anyone to fall back on if Rubel and/or Mash are taken to the cleaners.

Might need Zia or Riyad, simply because they're better part-time bowlers.

^^ I agree. You have to play to your strengths. Take a batsman out and put an sla in.

Dont know about milon..seems like a refined zia..dont think hes international quality. I would bring in mullah in that spot for bowling purposes..And rubel a big no no in shorter formats he has no yorker and he bowls line and length which gets hammered in t20..would bring in nazmul or a sla..otherwise a dangerous t20 team if played to potential..

We need Milon/Zia type players in our T20 team specially in the lower end of the batting order. May be Milon and Zia may turn out to be not the player, but we definitely need players like them who can hit each and every ball in the last few overs with power... with technique ... without technique ... hitting with open eyes or closed eyes I don't care.

Now some bowler in Mashrafee's mold can play that role, but we desparetely need some sloggers (not one, but multiple) in the lower end.

To be successfull in next t20 world cup we need to score quick in first 6 overs and end with quick fire (i.e. last last 3/4 overs)

Our top order problem might be fixed with the inclusion of Shamsur Rahman. He has a solid strike rate to his name, far superior than Mofeez's. I remember Isam bhai wrote when Shamsur is on song he is one of the most elegant batsmen to watch in Bangladesh. I guess his assumption was right after all.

He is only 24 years old so he still has plenty of time to improve as well.

i think shamsur is worth giving a run. he was earmarked as a great prospect as a teenager and he has gradually improved on his consistency, something that is not quite the norm in BD where most players start their careers off with a bang (be it international or domestic) and then fizzle out a bit to an inconsistent wasted talent. shamsur has done it the other way, he's improved his consistency over time rather than the opposite. he's in form atm as well so it would be a good time to give him a run.

didn't realise shamsur's record was quite as good as it actually is, averages 37 in this format, strike rate over 120 and 7 half centuries from 19 innings. get him in now!

Personally, when I'm watching these highlights/judging a batsman, I pay special attention to how they bat against pace. Local spinner pitay borolok howa shohoj, kintu bideshi pacer pitano eto shoja na.

Technically, he seems equipped enough to be able to deal with semi-decent fast bowlers as much as most other batsmen in the national team on the flat tracks at home. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of him, whether it be as part of the T20I team or in local leagues.

^ We should get a discussion going regarding how 'Deshi' batsman's fared against the likes of Tait, Nannes, Alfonso Thomas, kevon cooper, Fidel edwards. These guys by no means are the best of the best, but they certainly are miles ahead of Rubel, Rajib and the rest of our so called fast bowlers.

Bingo, one of his cover-driven sixes (off Tait I think) and his pulls of the quicker bideshi imports tells me he's no fluke.

I think both Shams and Marshall have confidence issues. They wither away whenever limelight is on them. I hope a motivator like Shane J can help them out.
