ZC requests BCB for practice matches ahead of T20 WC

Can't we arrange few matches towards the end of August ? It will be a good preparation for '4 nations Tournament in T&T'.

Seems like a good proposal. We should accept it afterall, we arent any better than zimbos. And in t20s they are marginally better

Go for it, players like Shak and Tamim will get practice at the SLPL, meanwhile the players that will be cricket-less could get some practice in too.

That's good news for us. Zim is a good team.

What is this BCB XI tour of WI in August? How come all the national players are going and yet its not considered international?

^Because Jamaica and Trinidad are not international teams.
I don't understand why the BCB is scheduling games all around the world when the WT20 is in Sri Lanka? Playing at home would have been the best preparation of all. I hope they give ZC's proposal some serious consideration and try and accommodate a few practice matches with Zimbabwe if possible.

Good proposal by the Zimbabwe. We need to utilize the scope. But it will be good if the matches become international.

I agree.
Besides so much traveling ahead of WC would make our boys tired and exhausted. First Zim, then Europe and now WI and then direct WI to SL.
I believe BCB should not send National team in disguise of BCB XI in WI. They better send players who don't get enough opportunities playing against good teams. Let our National team in Bangladesh and make 3-5 T20 matches series against Zim. That would help National players not to travel much and play in sub-continental environment.

woah... had no idea we were going to T&T before the t20 WC...
BCB seems cash loaded these days...
playing ZC at home makes more sense than Jamaica & t&t in the Caribbeans

The preliminary squad has 30 men - keep the national team at home to play Zimbabwe and send the balance to T&T. Pick a couple of notables from the T&T tour for the WC squad if at all possible.

totally agree..send the bench to tnt, tnt will be without pollard, bravo, narine too..its not worth it to travel all the way to wi to play them..we would get more benefit by playing here in dhaka as the conditions are similer with SL, on the top of that we can get some plug players to feel our holes from tnt..may be someone like mominul..bcb will be idiots if they let this opportunity go

Totally agree. In fact, screw ZIM.
We should only play 5 test series' against AUS, ENG and SAF.
Lets have BCB only play first class in domestics and only Tests in the international field.

We got some responsibility to arrange some Zimbabwe practice match here, if this part is important then, why not Rajshahi/Khulna plays with them? as our teams playing there in WI with teams like Zamaica, Afgan, TnT!

We should be clear in the communication of our decision. We already soured our relationship with Pakistan Board... don't want another problem with the Zimbabwe board as well.

exact idea! More tours will make our players so tired. If national team play in Bangladesh against Zimbabwe, it makes a good practice against a good opponent and same condition as world cup.
