DVD Formats???

You know when you purchase dvds whether they are pirate or not, how comes they work on most dvd players? What format do the dvds come in?

I am trying to put video files on a cd and i want it to work just like normal dvds where it works on most dvd players!

may be your dvd can play dvds from all region, can play divx files too.

Almost all the pirated DVDs are encoded as being in Region 0. What that means is that all DVD players think its made for its particular region. So a US DVD Player reads the DVD, as well as a European one.

Lastly, I dont think most computer DVD-ROMs/Writers these days consider DVD regions anymore, so its not even an issue for them (But I could be wrong).

your home created epic shall not have any regional coding. so it would play on all computer dvd drives and standalone dvd players depending on what format you use.
