Australia decided to go in with four main bowlers and split the rest between Clarke and Hussey. But it flopped because Watson - who was one of the four - went for 41 in 3 overs. Now it looks like Clarke will bowl ten and Hussey and maybe Watson will share the other ten.

Both Hayden and Ponting were retired out. They are taking the practice match as a "practice" match only. But I doubt they were expecting Somerset to wallop their bowlers like this.

Somerset lost 2 quick wickets. This is going to be tighter than I thought. They now require 81 runs from less than 14 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Will be very interesting to see how they hold their nerves in the death overs.

Poor Somerset is playing without their injury hit front line bowlers- Andrew Caddick, Nixon McLean (WI), and Test-capped Richard Jonson.

Ponting offered to loan several of his players including Gilchrist and Symonds to Somerset, but director of Somerset refused the offer.

The game is played in Taunton, according to Rob, one of the flattest pitch in the world with very even bounce. So, Aussie bowlers other than McGrath really did not have any tricks to stop Somerset.
