Mahmudullah or Shakib both more than decent enough to captain the team in this format! IMO!

Instead of Mash who offers nothing At t20s, we could have someone who least bowls better yorkers like Haider!

Sorry Mash has to go after world t20. Been a fan of him but he isnt needed for t20 for just captaincy. But thats not to say he should be kicked out of the ODI side too, no, we need him till ICC CT 17 in the ODI's only.

Mashrafe is the biggest burden as a player in the T20 team right now. Mahmudullah is no solution to captaincy either. Just hand over captaincy to Shakib and replace these two with pure sloggers. Zia and Haider are good candidates.

I raised that point here... I was warned against it.. at least people understand that he is a no go in this format.. useless as a player... I proposed he should be with the team always as a manager instead of sujon

As much as I love Mash, he needs to retire from T20 after the WC. We need him in the ODIs. He needs to play selected Matchs/Series. He needs to think about his body and make decisions that can make sure he lasts for at least 3 more years in ODI

You do realize that a year has 12 months right? We are early into 2016. You think Mash's knees will hold up for the whole of 2017 and 2018?

Actually its been really long since he had his last knee injury...

His last known injuries have been hamstring and bruises from a rickshaw accident.

Mash should focus on batting only and use himself as a part time bowler.

Mash has heard this before. Even before he took over the odi captaincy people were labelling him as a liability. He has proven people wrong and transformed this team and i have no doubt he will do it again in t20. Now I want us to reach the final more than anything to see all of your reactions.

Mate,Mashrafe is no longer just a captain he is a cricketing icon in the country. There will be people who will disagree with you but i am happy to be amongst them.Mashrafe has led Bangladesh to many wins in other format

In Short he is our most successful captain ever.
Even Mushfiq and Shakib have captaincy problems.Just Because he is having a bad day we can`t single him out.He is old but not obsolete,he takes wickets and is a web for the lower order. It is his job to decide when he should retire from the format. If he was performing so badly don`t you think the players would of said something.

Mashrafe,Is old but not obsolete He is the Flag Bearer, hero of a nation of 175 Million People and a darn good captain

I said this before and I will say it again,

The team is full of passengers in this format. Soumya, Imrul, Mushy, Riyad, Nasir, Taskin, Arafat and heck even Tamim (just look at his records) are all "passengers". So that leaves us with the following players: Shakib, Sabbir, Al Amin, Mustafiz. Wont bring in Sohan, Rony and Mithun as they simply didnt play enough games to reach a conclusion.

Unfair to single out one player when majority arent performing. Even without captaincy, he is the closest we have to a seam allrounder. On captaincy, there isn't ONE player that can lead the team nearly as good as he does. Dont name Shakib. he is a bad leader and its not changing anytime soon. Let him figure out his game and play the carefree game he prefers. Mushy shouldnt be anywhere close to any captaincy role. Riyad is probably the next in line but he himself is trying to figure out this format. Not the right team to give him additional responsibility

But even though he's the weakest bowler, he usually doesnt let the team down. Whether he bowls with the keeper up at the stumps, or his medium fast, he is always amongst wickets.

The wicket of Kohli was absolutely crucial. We wouldnt be even talking about the Rohit Sharma catch drop had Kohli been around.

And its actually T20 where teams usually practice an alternative sort of philosophy, allowing older players to continue or appointing a non traditional captain, or having specialized T20 only players.

Also personally i feel the bravado attitude that we often display (Prevalent throughout the World Cup) is a result of Mashrafe's leadership. If we have to let him go, we must ensure the next captain has such sort of an impact.

Mash no doubt has been the best captain for BD in ODI format. But at t20's he isn't needed, his slot could be given to someone else who can least contribute with something.
And I think it will good for the team if he just plays ODI's for another few years, in that format his captaincy is needed more than anything because its a longer format with lot more strategy, plan, thinking needed and Mash has been doing excellent at ODI's with his troops since captain of the ODI side.

Captaincy alone should not pick you for T20's, its a short format you need players who are better suited.

^ name sake hard hitter. He cant bat to safe his life bro.
We have been let down by his batting big time he isnt the batsmen who down the order used to provide BD with something back in the days along with Rafique, those who remember.
Todays mash plays wild hacks moving away no control or venom in his batting. But now and then does connect one or two, did manage a out of the blue good 50 in the bpl. But internationally for me his batting should been much more handy than what its turned out!

^Against lesser sides at t20s he will do well, and in bowling mash is not too bad up front in his first spell.
But at t20s he should bowl himself out (if he is going to bowl full 4) within 14overs.

Nonetheless Good bowling and captaincy today against a lesser side UAE.
