What are you reading at the moment?
this thread is about books...
as for me, right now i'm three quarters of the way through with the 4th "and pivotal" harry potter book - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
_______
but some of my favorites are:
The Count of Monte Cristo
The Lottery Rose
Is a Blue Whale the Biggest Thing There Is?
and one that i recommend for all to read
the Autobiography of Malcolm X as told to Alex Haley

Took this book with me to a biz trip before the WC, 'Half a Life". Read about 1/3 of it and then there was the WC. Finally finished it, good book but my father would enjoy it more than me.

I'm reading Living To Tell the Tale, the first part of the classic Garcia Marquez autobiography that reads more like one of his novels than a typical auto-bio. I'm also re-reading (reading multiple books is a good habit I picked up in Berkeley) Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. Those who haven't read this guy... you may be missing something.
To all the Potter fans in here, check out the Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer, if you haven't already. Better, faster, funnier, more original writing with an edge missing in the Disney-esque sappiness of Rowling's narratives.
Send me the links to your blogs if you write. Here's mine: http://snr1967.blogspot.com/

Touching the Void - the drama/documentary?? It's based on true story. Absolutely brilliant piece of documentary. It's a modern day miracle. How the hell did he survice??!

Typical Orphy response. But didn't it go backward for you?
If you are illiterate how can you read book? You not reading means..... hmm!
Anyway, I'm a big fan of Masud rana and read/re-read them on any chance I get. I'm also, revising Sunil's Pachti upponnash. Beside, I started 'Palestine: Piece not apartheid' but have not gotten too far yet.

Ahmed_B, with all due respect, I am really surprised by your action towards my post. I wish you better broaden and re-evaluate your horizon of petit sentiment about what is g-rated and what is not.
I didn't mention a pornography book or refer to any kind that might agitate one's cardinal passion, did I? How does a caption of a book threaten a g-rated environment when the book has nothing to do with pornography? The book I mentioned was simply about gender issue which is coherent to social science! Please do some google research on the book "The Vagina Monologues" and get your fact right whether it has anything to do with pure sexuality or pornography.
Would you also have edited the post if I mentioned the books like Sexual Politics (by Kate Millet) or The Second Sex (by Simone De Buvoir) for that matter? Now I surely think you would. Karon okhane "sex" shobdo tar ullekh achey je! Chi chi chi...tauba tauba!!
