Are there too many World XI , AsiaXI , Africa XI matches?
The Tsunami matches were nice but now there's way too many of these exibitions that are more annyoing tha 20-20 cricket.
look at the schedule for this year
1) 2 Tsnuami matches- done
2) Pak XI vs world XI - July
3) The Asia XI vs World XI in America - August
4) Asia XI vs AfricaXI - August
5) The super series - sept/oct(Australia have enough trouble with England)
BTW: Why do people care if these games get recognized as official ODI's. It's a great way for batsmen to inflate there avreges with high scores.

These matches are joke. Players play these matches in picnic mode.

The Super Series was a long time coming and had been thoroughly planned by the ICC. It will be very interesting and most likely a great series. The Tsunami match was organised inside a couple of days in urgency to raise money and they did so successfully with most of the world's best players making an appearance. I don't see the point in the other tournaments though

yeah...these games often do end up being a picnic for many players. But how can one forget the excitement these matches produce...well, not in all of them, but some do, for sure. If you had seen the Asia XI vs The Rest of the World XI match played in Dhaka during that ICC Cricket Week in April 2000, you'll know what i am talking about.

... but, in the same token, I myself dont prefer these matches being granted official status. Cricket is mainly as an international game, with one country squaring off against another, unlike Major League Sports of North America, or Soccer leagues in Europe, whose basis is club vs clubs. So, having these All-star matches given official status means the stats will infact come as a player vs player basis.
Am i making sense at all ? I am too tired but this forum is addicting!!!

many players/coach are moaning these days there are to0 many game these day. but i can't belive icc has benn and will give international status, i.e super test. australia VS world X1.
icc are money suckers they are cashing in through these matches
giving that test status is total nonsence.
test match status should only be given to matches that are being played between two nations.
