Default Statistics: BD\'s ODI totals after World Cup 2003

I am wondering whether the BD players find it difficult to get into the One Day mood after a successful (or unsuccessful) test series. It is just my guess that they need more than 3 ODIs to get into the mode for playing ODI cricket.

I am guessing (a wild guess) that because the Pakistan One Day series had 5 matches, so after the first 3 ODIs, the team had got to the mood of playing One day cricket and thus we got the wrong idea of playing better one day cricket than we usually do.

Thinking in that line, here is what I have gathered:-

BD's ODI totals after the World Cup 2003:

After completion of the SA test series:

76 all out (against India in TVS cup - in 27.3 overs)
211 all out (against SA - 49.3 overs)
207 all out (against Ind - 49.4 overs)
168 all out (against SA - in 49 overs)

After completion of Aus test series:

105 all out (against Aus - 34 overs)
147 all out (against Aus - 45.1 overs)
142 all out (against Aus - 47.3 overs)

After completion of Pak test series:

186 all out (against Pak - 43.2 overs)
169 all out (against Pak - 42.1 overs)
201 for 9 wickets (against Pak - in 44 overs)

Extra 4th ODI: 222/8 (against Pak - in 50 overs)

Extra 5th ODI: 244/7 (against Pak - in 50 overs)

After completion of Eng test series:

143 all out (against Eng - in 44.4 overs)
134/9 (against Eng - in 50 overs).

One important note is that however Bangladesh have performed in the test series - just before the start of the one day series, if the performance of the test series is good, then initially or in the latter stages of the One day series, the player's performance is good. But if their performance in the test series is bad, then they take the form of the test series into the one dayers.

Another important point is that except for the last 3 ODIs in Pakistan, very few batsman have rarely crossed or got close to the individual 50 run mark. Mostly the batsman were stuck on the 20s and the 30s.

I hope Dave sees all these performances of the players - even before he took over as coach and tries to understand what went wrong - individually of each player.
