Most of the subcontinent's Nobel prize winners have been Bengalis (India and BD) so this university should continue in a great intellectual tradition of producing great thinkers.

There is speculation btw that Fazle Hasan Abed may get the Nobel peace prize.

The graduates of this institute will no doubt play an influential role in contributing to policy formulation in the future.

Great news for Bangladesh.

I wonder what the faculty will look like. Hopefully they focus more on development economics rather than neoclassical economics. The former applies more to a country like Bangladesh and hopefully will produce some good policy makers.
