Should Akram retire?
A Jugantor report today was suggesting the retirement of Akram after his continuous failure in the team. It also wrote that some people think that he might retire if he fails to score in the second innings. But according to Sarwar Imran - he might not bat in the second innings as he is injured.

Yes he should!
Bangladeshis need to learn the concept of bowing out when one is still on top. All our players play on till they get dropped and disgraced before contemplating retirement. That has to change.

Ya now its time for him to retire. He's too old and fat to play. By the way, how old is he?

Akram Khan says he is 34; but poor form is the reason that Akram Khan should retire - not being too old or fat.
(Why Inzamam scored many runs while being fat, and Maurice Odumbe of Kenya is still in the team even though he is 34/35).

If you think of it - it is not only poor form that Akram Khan is struggling with - those of you who watched the Day Four of this test match - you'd see that somebody like Mohammad Ashraful can stay at the wicket for about 60 odd balls before trying to play something rash, and Akram Khan - who is known to be SO well respected and responsible for the team on so many occassions, that if Akram Khan does not feel to be responsible, (Akram Khan was out playing about 30 balls scoring after about 15 runs) and did you see the similarity the way they both got out? That was same rash shot by both these batsman.
Akram Khan has done a lot for the game and the country, he has gained a lot from the game and from the country, and he is still a well respected man - at the end of a cricket career, what more could you want?

Not to mention Akram Khan's technical abilities - he does not have the perfect technique - and so he got all those bouncers/not-bouncers into his body, and so he had pains; read it in papers that he would wear chest guard for the first time in his life (?) when he would come to bat in the 2nd innings.

He's never worn a chest guard? with a chest that big i didn't think they could miss therefore he should need a chest guard.
Do you remember when one of Opee and Golla walked out to the middle without a chest guard and had to run back and get it?
