Hopefully he will bounce back in the next match.
Or, we can always blame it on the foreign pitch.

Tamim Iqbal stats: 32 runs of 30 balls ( 5 times 4)
(5 x 4) = 20 runs + (12 x 1) = 12
20+ 12 = 32 runs.
assume he scored runs from 17 (12+5) balls to get his 32 runs.
Percentage of dot balls = 46% (Shocking) nearly half the balls he faced have been dot balls.
In T20 it's more than a shocker

What's more disturbing is that if you had actualy taken the 2's and 3's into consideration than his % of dotballs goes over 50% and that is actualy a major fail. Not saying that 32/30 is bad, it's the amount of dot balls that he played bothers be (it's actualy a major issue in our team)

Remember he batted during the field restrictions when its not that easy to take singles ON WILL.
If he batted during the middle overs that would be a completely different scenario

Still not a good enough excuse for 46% dots.

That's why the other openers play shots over the infield, that's why "aggressive-openers" were invented and people got rid of Javeed Omar.
Tamim has tough time running between the wickets, he is super slow. AND he can't play shots from get go.
Gayle and Sehwag sucks at running btw, but he makes up for it with his big shots. David Warner has both, but too bad he runs with Watto.

Wth I didn't know Jayasuriya was in the team as well. Anyways stupid decision to drop him and Jayawardene, ruined their streak.

I believe Tamim was rested and I respect that decision.
This team has already made it,so why not giving others the opportunity?
Besides SLPL is for the dvlpmnt of Srlkan young players.

Dhishum-dhishum batting from Tamim. Pleasure to watch as long as it lasted. Now I've lost interest in the match until M tin bats for the other team. So predictable.

I cant believe he didnt have the red beauty in mind, parked by the boundary line that goes to the highest run getter. I guess with this 36, he becomes 2nd or 3rd in standing now. And ya, it would be good to see what Ash has been doing in England, hope so.
