he is in the squad. but rasel and mashrafee both were injured and didn't practise with the team.so the management tested both of them in the practise match and left shahadat out

Mashrafi, Russel, Rajib - all 3 are good bowlers. On a given day, one is better than other two. But keeping in mind that ODI is a game of run rate, I would rather go with Mashrafi and Russel since Rajib is a bit expenssive (though he has a hatrick).

Not necessarily. If I have 2 pacers, one's economy rate is 2.00 but gets one or no wicket, while the other gives 7 runs per over, yet takes 3-5 wickets, I will open with the 2nd bowler.

We need Shahadat, the wicket taker in ODI as well.

rasel is a wicket taker too. he took 3 today. can't say anything about mash's performance. he was expensive and wicketless but we can't leave him out

It would be a bitter sweet decision for our selectors on saturday morning.
Not sure if they would go with all 3 pacers, as Reza also did a good job with the ball today.
In case they dont, cant pick between Russel or Rajib, both are good.
Would leave that hard part on the people who are paid to do so.
And we can do the whinging later on.

Precisely,
If Russel is on, why not Rajib?
If Rajib is on, why not Russel?

But let's hope whoever plays, performs his best in life.

I wanted to say all of them can take wickets and of course they are wicket taking bowlers.

Alright, come to the point, do you mean rajib is big wicket taker than mashrafi and russel? If yes, how do you support that statement?

I reckon shahadat is a very good bowler, but cosidering indian condition and today's performance I will go with Rasel. The chance of playing with 3 pacers is very thin.

why not 3 pacers?? Shahdat is dat only player who is rough on the field.. he shows attitude to the batsman.. I think we need some of those , as we dont show any attitude to the batsman like we are scared or something.

Attitude and aggression CANNOT be the perimeter for the inclusion in the team.
As much as i would luv to see him playing ( and dont ask me who would have to sit out then, cuz i cant decide that), chances are the team will go for 2 pacers in a typical subcontinental pitch.

Let us wait just two more iftars to find that out.

I do agree Shahadat has got aggression. But, I would buy that in test matches, not in the subcontinatal pitches where the price of aggression (and often lack of control pops up as a result of that) is very high.

bangladeshi cricket has as much aggression as my fat cat Amber who sits around all day. having a tall fast pacer like shahadat on the team is a blessing. I can't believe we can't change our docile attitudes!

more often than not all our other bowlers go for 6 runs per over... subcontinental pitches or not (i am sick of hearing this) we need shahadat in the team... he did so well in zim but why was he missing in kenya... rasel is very lucky in getting wickets nonetheless is not a strike bowler... he needs to work on his action which looks awkward to say the least... mashrafee hasn't played enough cricket to live upto expectations in ODIs... please look at his List A/first class stats and compare it to Rasel's or other pacer's his age and experience...
