Win vs Austraila in 2005 and vs SA in 2007. Both teams were no.1 when we beat them. Beating no.1s is sweeter than beating teams like WI and NZ 4/5-0.

knocking india out was definitely the one for me. However, for a THAT particular day only i was on a false notion BD might have overcame their "Minnow" title apparently since they were playing like champs. And they had fairly poor performances after that so i was like Oh, so that was just a surprise win ?

I was talking about SA game. Not WC performance. Win against India was good. But SA was no.1 ODI team in 2007.

Beating Pakistan in 1999 was one of the greatest cricket memories, it was simply beyond my imagination that we would beat Pakistan[or any big boys]. And that was the first too, so a special one.
India in 2007 WC was also a remarkable feat, announcing before the game that " We will crush you" and then doing it in a game was truly remarkable.
But for some very absurd reason, my favorite BD win was the one against England in bristol this year. Bangladesh were in a lot of troubles, not winning a game in 1+ years, performances were coming but the win was not. Also, England in England were absolutely fantastic at that stage, also that was the first close game against the big boys that went our way. So, the England win will be my favorite moment till date, but I have a feeling my favorite moment might come on 2nd April, 2011

First off, great thread and great poll!

My first great moment of BD Cricket was when we beat Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup. I remember coming home from school asking my dad if we won the game, he told me no at first and I was pretty dissapointed, but a few seconds later when he told me that we won, I won jubilated and couldn't believe it. I rented the tape of the game as soon as it came out and watched the whole game on VCR a couple of weeks later and it still felt great.

My second favorite BD cricket memory happened when we beat India in the World Cup 2007. I remember having a hard time sleeping the night before because I kept thinking of the match. My family from Mississauga and Markham came over to our house to watch the game and there were 25 of us cheering every Bangladeshi ball, every fielding save and every frequent fall of wickets. Then when Tamim started thrashing Zaheer and co. we all were going nuts and I will never forget that. After the win, all of us went to Victoria Park and Danforth to celebrate with other Bangladeshi friends and it was a great moment.

InshAllah there will be a few unforgettable moments after this World Cup

The win against India - my favourite team in world cricket aside from BD, in WC 2007 will always be that one special occasion that I forever cherish.

The lead up to the game and the overall anticipation, Manjural Rana's untimely death, Tamim's arrival, and the Indian dream of a championship as a true contender getting shattered into a billion pieces were just too many heart-touching factors. And to ice the cake - I will NEVER regret leaving the Statistics midterm 10 mins before it started just so that I can get back to watching the BD innings... I was too restless and excited to write an exam at that moment.

Bulbul's 145 vs India in our maiden test match. Masterful innings that was. Matched only by Tamim's century at Lords.

surprised to see only a few people were really touched by the victory against india. I guess for me it was particularly special because I was on holiday......family stuffed in a Super 8 Motel in Chicago.....me and my younger brother spent all night watching into the wee hours of the morning. I remember we had a terrible connection so had to keep reloading the pirate feed, too damn cheap to buy our own back in the day. It was special because it was under lights, all the drama, rajin saleh scoring a hundred and me and my little brother just having the time of our life watching our country pull off a huge David & Goliath!! Massive feeling.....it can happen anywhere.....even in a shoddy Super 8 Motel!!

That can't be right. Rajin Saleh's only ODI hundred was against Kenya. And in the two matches we've beaten India, no Bangladeshi has scored a century.

Without that innings we wouldnt have been here.

My fav moments were when we have beaten Australia and Kenya during 1997 ICC trophy. Kenya game was special coz that game was so intense and they were the reason why could not make it to the 1996 wc.

Winning the ICC trophy was a big deal. The celebrations were unprecedented and it was the first time we started to believe we could be a cricketing nation.

Beating Pakistan in 99 world cup was an amazing feeling. First time we knew we could.

But for me, probably the greatest moment would have to be beating India in last world cup. That was simply just the best.

My favourite BD cricket moment has to be the first ODI win against England in Bristol this year. The reason - I was there to witness it. First time i experienced a Bangladesh win in a stadium, it was amazing feeling.

Also, Tamim's century at Lord's was special - again i was there.
