লাল আর সবুজ দুটি জার্সিই আছে বাংলাদেশের



সবার বাঁ দিকে মাহমুদউল্লাহ, এরপর একে একে নাসির, তামিম, মাশরাফি, সাকিব ও মুশফিক। সবার গায়ে লাল জার্সি, হাতের অংশটুকু সবুজ। ট্রাউজারটাও লাল। আজ সকাল থেকে ফেসবুকে ছবিটি ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। শোনা যাচ্ছিল, টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপে বাংলাদেশ দলের সম্ভাব্য জার্সি হতে পারে এটি। এরপর থেকেই সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে বেশ সমালোচনা হচ্ছে এই জার্সি নিয়ে।

বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট সমর্থকেরা বেশ হতাশ। রংটা অনেকটা জিম্বাবুয়ের জার্সির মতো হয়ে গেছে কি না, কিংবা কেন বাংলাদেশ সবুজ ছেড়ে এমন লাল জার্সি বানাল, সেটি নিয়েও উঠছে প্রশ্ন। এমনকি সর্বশেষ অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ বিশ্বকাপেও বাংলাদেশের জার্সি যেখানে এত প্রশংসা কুড়িয়েছে, সেখানে টি-টোয়েন্টির বিশ্ব আসরে এমন কটকটে লাল জার্সি করার কারণ কী, এটিও সমর্থকদের জিজ্ঞাসা।
খোঁজ নিয়ে জানা গেছে, বিশ্বকাপে বাংলাদেশ কোন জার্সি পরে খেলবে, সেটি এখনো চূড়ান্ত হয়নি। বিশ্বকাপে জার্সির স্পনসর প্রতিষ্ঠানের উদ্যোগে আজ অনুশীলন চলার সময়ে ফটোসেশন হয়েছে বাংলাদেশ দলের। তাতে সবুজ ও লাল—দুই ধরনের জার্সি পরেই ছবি তুলেছেন মাশরাফিরা। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত কোন জার্সিটি দলের বিশ্বকাপ জার্সি হবে, সেটি এখনো চূড়ান্ত হয়নি।

তবে যে জার্সিটি সমর্থকদের পছন্দ হয়নি, সেটিই পছন্দ মাশরাফিদের। প্রথম আলোর প্রতিবেদকের সঙ্গে কথা বলার সময় বাংলাদেশ ওয়ানডে ও টি-টোয়েন্টি দলের অধিনায়ক জানিয়েছেন, লাল জার্সিটিই তাঁদের বেশি পছন্দ হয়েছে। পছন্দের কারণটাও জানিয়েছেন মাশরাফি। টি-টোয়েন্টি ক্রিকেট তো আসলে একটু বেশি রঙিন। তাই প্রথাগত সবুজের বদলে লাল জার্সিটাই পরে খেলতে চান মাশরাফিরা। এমনিতে সব সময় তো সবুজের মাঝে লাল জার্সি পরে খেলেন। এবার না হয়, লালের মাঝে সবুজই হলো। টি-টোয়েন্টিতে ভিন্ন জার্সি পরে খেলার চলও নতুন নয়। অস্ট্রেলিয়াই টি-টোয়েন্টিতে সবুজ জার্সির দিকে ঝুঁকেছিল।

Look I am all for having an alternate flashy design for our T20 jersey. In fact using red as the dominant color is a great idea. But they could use the red in an imaginative way with a new cutting edge design. In this case they have kept our original green jersey's design and just swapped the colors. Let them stick simple solid colors. The minute they try to use coral pink and peepee yellow we get the vomit patterns of 2014.

As I said earlier, I saw the players wearing the exact same jersey but in opposite colors. The red jersey with red trouser would look really ugly and make us look like Zimbabwe.

But if the players do want something different then, as we don't have much time to do any alterations, we can go for the red one with green trousers and it won't look that bad as the sleeves are also green.

On the contrary, I am liking the red jersey in these photos more than I did before. Now I get where the problem is. The problem is the trousers. The red jersey looks good here because of the black trousers. The red trousers make the red jersey look garbage.

The green is good. Please don't change something that aint broken I always liked a darker shade of green in our Jersey this one and the WC one is now iconic in our history.

The picture says that as per ICC regulation "Each team should have two sets of clothing in contrasting colors''. Therefore the Sri Lankan team has a blue and a yellow one. Also, saw Scotland and Oman having two different sets/colors of jerseys as well. So the PA report was wrong, the BCB made it as per the new ICC regulation.

Btw regarding our jersey, the red one looks much better here because of the contrasting trousers, if they wear the red one with green trousers it won't look bad, but going full red would look quite ugly.

Red looks decent with black trousers.. But ideally they could have gone for a darker red, or even a black kit with green and red
