Nasir, Taskin and Shafiul accused of going in casino on same night of 200 run lost match
First of all it is their personal life and I have no objection how they want to lead their life outside cricket.
But these three cricketers are accused of going to casino on the same night when we had a devastating loss of 200 runs and a series loss. On top of that we are yet to play in the T20 within a couple of days. I dont know if it goes under any kind of professionalism or not... Needless to say these three crickets are underperforming and they need to think and prepare for giving extra effort. I also wonder if shafiul flew to SA to visit casino or what!!
I am not sure about the authenticity of this news as this news is not published in cricinfo..(maybe a common culture in west) but when I saw a tv interview based on this topic I am confused.

Like I said before I have nothing to care what they do in their personal life outside cricket but it is very heartbreaking to see that they are going to casino the same night when we the followers are analyzing what they should do and how will be their strategy in next match..

Hmm this was the situation the team was in strangely in 2014 when Hathurusingha took up the role. 3 years down the line, after all the improvement and change, it has gone back to that.
Coach has lost interest?
I follow a club called Valencia CF in La Liga which has been under performing for the last 7-8 years. New coach has come in, absolutely changes things for the club. Foundation of his coaching is built around discipline. Players do blood tests, body fat index tests every day. Any player who goes over 9.5 doesnt get to play. Players are so scared the go to the sauna, or skip meals before training to stay below 9.5 (Check story below). And it is working wonderfully well for the club.
Valencia's case might sound extreme, but Hathurusingha had built this team around discipline and organization-on and off the pitch. Sadly i feel we ve lost that. There is clear lack of discipline, lack of self belief, team is divided, not working as a unit. And this Nasir, Taskin, Shafiul incident is a clear reflection of the situation at hand-as far as discipline goes.
I hope the alarm bells are ringing, if not, we are in trouble.

They were getting tips on how to win a T20 match from Rabada and De V. This is breaking in to enemy ranks. This is good. Thinking outside the box. We should encourage them, no?

I don't know about the others but I want to see shafiul getting banned soon from National team.
He once said that no matter what he tries he cannot gain weight.
What? Are you defying the laws of science? Unless you are suffering from a health condition you will slowly gain weight if are at a caloric surplus. Also weight training for help.
We don't have educated cricketers in our ranks. I mean how could sakib claim that orange juice makes a difference

If you get typhoid, you are given very powerful drugs, which dry up your bones. This can cause you to be skinny and no matter what you eat, you don't gain weight. A family friend is a living proof

There is absolutely nothing wrong in trying to blow off some steam after a bad day on the field, what do you guys expect them to do after a loss? Sulk in a corner and cry themselves to sleep? Some of you guys need to get rid of those middleclass taboos, sorry to say

Safiul is a non factor, Nasir is the bad influence and Taskin is still part of our future. If I am BCB executive, I would be concerned.
Even team managed didn't admit, there are reports that they broke the curfew came much later than the start of curfew. Also Nasir already have a bad reputation about not working hard and being a 'bad boy'.
Casino is one of the places you expose your young players to bookies. Its one thing to go all together with the senior players/management, its another thing if your young talent goes with two 'bad boys' .
If I were BCB management, regardless what I say publicly, I would rather take this more seriously. Its better to be over cautious than to be sorry later.

collected fb

What's the big deal? The Dhaka Tribune clearly says they came back before the 10pm curfew.
I just hope those gadhas learned a thing or two rubbing shoulders with the great ABD.

Don't forget Kagiso...
Taskin and Shafiul should learn more than a thing or two from him.

Since they got invited by the southafrican players, then i dont see no problems whatsoever. Whats the big deal here? If they went alone or with an uninvited guest then maube there was a problem.

All of them should be banned from playing cricket for their shambolic act if it's true. Have they forgotten that they r representing a conservative country like Bangladesh where gambling is considered as a crime? Besides this, Drinking and gambling is also prohibited in Islam. Can't believe young children r following these players.
Another proof that Mashrafe has no control over his team. Players r doing whatever they want without the fear of any consequences. We can't let this to continue, something needs to be done ASAP.

Well excuse me, just cause you follow certain rules in life, does not mean everyone needs to. Shove this garbage idea where it belongs.
Either way, whats wrong with them going into a casino? Y'all take things like this to a new level of loney toons land.

Is it the captains job to control the team? I think players need to set a certain standard for themselves, a certain level of professionalism.
For example a player can't refuse to practice then if they do poorly in a match blame the poor performance on practice because they are the ones who decided not to practice. Yes coaches and captains can help motivate and inspire but players have to have a certain amount of own will and standard for any results to come.
At the end of the day these are not babies, these are adults, professional sportspeople who do this as there job. It's up to them to have the right attitude for success, BCB can provide the tools and facilities for them to reach their goals but they need to find motivation, inspiration and determination to achieve goals from within themselves first, then pull more from captain and coach and healthy team rivalry to improve each other.
