The West Indians are known for their sportsmanship - not surprised at all.

On our first Caribbean tour (2004) we had a Caribbean invasion from West Indies fans. It was a rum room plan to come and poke us a bit. We reciprocated and joined their forum en masse. It was all in good natured fun - and very friendly. In the end we made bunches of good friends and to this day I remain a huge West Indian fan - after Bangladesh of course.

I think the Carribean land has given BD cricket a lot.
Our 1st coach Gordon Greenidge, our qualification in Worldcup by beating Ind & our 1st
victory agnst SA,a draw in WI in 2004 which was quite a sccssfll series,4 BD btsmen getting 100s,2nd test victory and may be more that I don't know or forgot to mention.

No surprise there. They are classy, witty, passionate and knowledgeable. 3Ws-Sobers-Lara-Hall-Holding-Walsh and many others will do that to you. The best commentators in the world also. Windies cricket culture, for me, embodies the best this sport has to offer without having a hair up the proverbial @$$.

I pray to GOD that their dark hour will come to pass sooner rather than later.

I'm actually pretty impressed by the maturity of our fans in embracing this victory. Don't mean to point fingers here, but there has been minimal (almost non-existent) degradation of the opposition from our part in the aftermath of the win as opposed to what one would have come to expect from fans of certain other teams. In fact the praise to humiliate ratio has been quite high. Just goes to show that as a fan base, we don't quite bite unless bitten yet. Key-word yet.

As for the West Indians, well, they're the coolest people on Earth.

West Indian fans rock.

WI has jumped greatly in my ranking of teams I support to now being my third favourite team.

For WI fans, although this was a weakened team, take this as a opportunity to see players who otherwise would never get a chance to play. Also it was a stage for future stars, such as Kemar Roach, or Nikita Miller (who was underused I say).

Hey all, nice to know we west indian fans have a fan base all over. The sub continent fans and us are alike in a way that we love the game. And yes, thanks for saying we are the coolest people on earth lol, well i think Chris Gayle is.

Well, i felt down by the loss to you all, I think even this squad should have won, they didn't use enough short pitch bowling in st. vincent. Thankfully, Roach did that in Grenada and got a 6fer. Pascal should have played the Tests for Best, he would have done it even more than Roach.

Still, I admire your side, there's a long way to go, batsmen of you all needs to not get too carried away. Shakib does hit ball but does hit on the ground and when them bad go in the air. The rest needs to learn from him.. Ashraful needs to go back to playing aggressive, getting yo eye in aint working fo him.

Welcome buddy.

I was always a great fan of WI cricket. Love and respect their sportsmanship.

Agree. People from the Islands are very friendly and festive. Yea maaan, I am a fan of dear jerk chicken .

Hope this ODI series will be so exciting and so well advertised through all channels that some other Test nations will envy at.

I talked to some friends from the Islands, they like us and they treat us well, even better than some 'senior' Test playing nations.

Looks like we have a long time relationship with CC.
Greta to know that. They are also helping us to update the one day practice match.

Love WI brand of cricket & had been a fan of WI for a long time. BD actually plays a similar Brand of Cricket. Donno if GG had any contribution in that.
