Riyadh, Naeem, Mush and Imrul should seriously learn how to improve their strike rate, they have been a burden on the team for such a long time, most of the time Ash, Tamim and Shakib bails the team, Bangladesh was always a one (Ash) man army, now it's a three (Ash, Tamim and Shakib) man bahini, if these three strikes at the same time, Bangladesh have a 90% chance of winning. Bangladesh is missing Ashraful's 220% strike rate atm.

What has Ash done in the last 2 years to make him an elite and even putting him close to what Tamim and Shakib have been doing?

সফটওয়্যারে ফিল্ডিং-ভুল

ড্রেসিংরুমে চলছিল আসলে ভিডিও ফুটেজ দেখা, সেই সঙ্গে ফিল্ডিং কোচ জুলিয়েন ফাউন্টেনের বিশেষ সফটওয়্যারে প্রথম ওয়ানডের ফিল্ডিং বিশ্লেষণও। ভিডিও ফুটেজের মাধ্যমে ব্যাটিং-বোলিং বিশ্লেষণ আগে থেকেই হয়ে এলেও ফিল্ডিংয়ের ভুল-ত্রুটি দেখানো এই প্রথম। শাহরিয়ার নাফীস অনুশীলনে ফিল্ডিং কোচের এই সংযোজনকে বলছেন দারুণ, ‘ফিল্ডিংয়ের সমস্যাগুলো ধরতে সফটওয়্যারের ব্যবহার এই প্রথম। এর মাধ্যমে আমরা বুঝতে পারছি মাঠে কে কতটা ভালো ফিল্ডিং করছি, কার কতটা ভুল হচ্ছে। হিসাবটা থাকলে এই ভুলগুলো কমিয়ে আনা সহজ হয়।’
বাংলাদেশে এসেই ফাউন্টেন জানিয়েছিলেন, নিজের উদ্ভাবিত বিশেষ সফটওয়্যার ‘ফিল্ডিং বিশ্লেষণ পদ্ধতি’ তিনি ব্যবহার করবেন অনুশীলনে। সে অনুযায়ী চলতি নিউজিল্যান্ড সিরিজেই প্রথম ব্যবহার করছেন সফটওয়্যারটা, যদিও বাংলাদেশ দল ছাড়া এখনো কোথাও এর ব্যবহার শুরু হয়নি। ‘আশা করি, ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যেই সবার জন্য সহজলভ্য হবে পূর্ণাঙ্গ সফটওয়্যারটা। তবে আমি নিজে এর ব্যবহার শুরু করে দিয়েছি। ম্যাচে খেলোয়াড়েরা কে কী ভুল করল, সেটা বোঝাতে সহজ হয় এর মাধ্যমে’—কাল অনুশীলন শেষে বলছিলেন বাংলাদেশ দলের ব্রিটিশ ফিল্ডিং কোচ। সফটওয়্যারের কারিগরি দিক সম্পর্কে একটা ধারণাও দিলেন তিনি, ‘ম্যাচ চলাকালে ইনিংসের প্রতিটি বলই আমি ডেটাবেসে সংযোজন করি। কে কীভাবে ফিল্ডিং করছে, কী ভুল করছে বা কোন ফিল্ডিংটা ভালো হলো, সবই ঢুকে যায় ডেটাবেসে। পরে ভিডিও ফুটেজের সঙ্গে সমন্বয় করে সেটা দেখানো হয় ক্রিকেটারদের। ব্যাটিং বা বোলিং বিশ্লেষণের জন্য যে ধরনের সফটওয়্যার ব্যবহার করা হয়, আমার সফটওয়্যারও অনেকটা সেভাবেই কাজ করে।’
বাংলাদেশ কোচ জেমি সিডন্সও মনে করেন, ফাউন্টেনের সফটওয়্যার ফিল্ডিংয়ের ভুল-ত্রুটি শোধরাতে সাহায্য করবে, ভুলের পরিমাণ কমাবে; সঙ্গে কোচদের কাজও সহজ করবে, ‘ফিল্ডিংয়ে কার কোথায় দুর্বলতা, এই বিশ্লেষণের মাধ্যমে সেটা আরও স্পষ্ট হবে কোচদের কাছে।’ বাংলাদেশ দলের অনুশীলনে ফাউন্টেনের সফটওয়্যারকে স্বাগত জানাচ্ছেন সিডন্সও। তবে শেষ পর্যন্ত এটাও বলে গেলেন, ফিল্ডিংয়ে ল্যাপটপে ভরা সফটওয়্যারের চেয়ে ক্রিকেটারদের ‘হার্ড ডিস্কের’ কাজটাই বেশি, ‘সফটওয়্যার হয়তো ভুল ধরতে সাহায্য করবে। তবে আসল কাজটা মাঠেই করতে হবে ক্রিকেটারদের।
