But today I don't know for some reason I feel sad. Maybe its too see Shak's brilliant innings going in vain or see Mash in off color in the field.
Well said, exactly my thought, too.

Looks like quite a few ppl shares my feelings. It goes to show how we all BD fans are really similar. Dhakaiya, Sylehti, Chatgaiya, Borishaila etc etc. It doesn't matter to me.

Shak, TI, Mash, Ash, Riyad and other jodu kodu modu matters to me. I just wanna see them win and celebrate in an epic manner like Ash.

Mash is just a pseudo captain just for the sake of it. We've seen today who's the real captain.

One more great thing about Shakib that i have always liked is he owns up his mistakes and takes responsibility. Even after contributing so much, he took the blame on himself. That's a big reason he keeps progressing.

Well one thing BPL has taught me that our selectors really arent that bad.

We say how crap Shahadat is but he has bowled his heart out and if any other local pacer was bowling at the same position in the recent 2 matches, they wouldve given away about 15 runs per over

Exactly. Mash is more like Afridi's errand boy.

Dont know how good the selectors are but Shahadat and ASh showed great responsibility today.

Even Gayle deserved more than Shak when he got the 100 against DG . They are more happy to give MOM from the winning team

still that one was fair cause if i remember Azhar had played a much better inn than today & had bowled really well angg got Ghayel's wicket.
But in today's match Sak was by far the MOM, but anyway, ja hoise hoise forget it.

Shame that Shakib went through the entire BPL without securing a single MOM

About the match itself: This is how I felt at the end of that epic World XI vs Asia XI match back in Dhaka in 2000 where Bevan scored an amazing 180+* but the World XI still lost. I was happy that Asia won (though there were no Bangladeshis in that team) but gutted that one of my favourite international players wasn't able to take his side home. Similarly, both he and Shak scored a lot of boundaries in the last over to bring the scores agonizingly close.

Yet, Shakib has been the most consistent performer scoring runs and taking wickets...

Mash was probably annoyed by Afridi's big boss attitudes. This is one of the reasons why he lost his national captaincy. He just like to interfere in everything like he is better than everyone else.
