the pad and rolls away on the leg side, Tendulkar takes off for
the second but Kumble responds very late, a stop and start
situation, throw comes in at the keeper's end but Mashud fails to
collect it cleanly

Sachin on drove it to mid wicket, and goes for a quick single, he wants the second and then mid way changes his mind, Kumble however is half way down and Sachin changes his mind again and decides to run for it, he is very short of the crease and the return is on target to the keeper, but Khalid Mashud fails to collect it cleanly !! Kumble had started to run in the direction of the striker end and when he saw Sachin running the sam
could not run out any end

should have got two wickets there but in the end two runs added to
the total!
