will/can bangladsh play \"Boring Cricket\"
Can Bangladesh if they wanted to play "boring Cricket"(Zim 2nd test), which i belive is bad for the sport bbut i think whatmore will try to make them play in the first test.
I think the best way for Bangladesh to secure a draw is play 50-75 overs @ 2-3 runs and play 20-30 overs @5+(488 vs Zim)
will Bangladesh play Boring cricket 140-150 overs@2-3 runs an over, while there english counterparts will be going at 4-5 runs an over.
The real question maybe can they?

WOW!!! 140-150 overs against England!!! If we can play 140+ overs in an inning against team like England I have no problem with Lose. There is no shame in that! Win or Draw will be great!!

Can Bangladesh play boring Cricket?
Sure they can. Actually any one can if thye want to.
Will Bangladesh play boring Cricket?
For BD fans, no way.
Even watching Gullu's defensive shot with the new ball causes heart attack. We may not play for test wins, we always fight hard to avoid innings defeat. So the excitement is always there. How can you say its boring?

Bangladesh cricket is about excitement. When do you see Basher or Rafiq let go a bad ball without smashing it! Bangladesh cricket is always exciting.

For the sake of their survival in the test matches I hope BD play boring cricket. Though, of course, to us nothing they do will be boring.

I put they'll because they can. I doubt that they will though. THey need senior players like Ashraful and Bashar to stay at the crease for some time. Also our openers have to play longer.

i dont mind boring cricket...isn't test cricket boring to begin with (asides from ashraful v India)? how can you have boring test cricket?
i dont mind boring ODI cricket now, as long as we win. eventually i wanna see us like the aussies. for now, if we win or draw, even by playing boring, a la, 200-5 dec. (185 overs) the critics can stop their n-tier bullcrap.

It is boring when the opposition is batting and piling on a total of 500+. It is never boring when the Bangladeshi batsmen are at the crease. There is never a dull moment watching them bat and try to survive two sessions even on flat tracks.

Hmm...
cricman: are you trying to mean "should bangladesh play?" by saying "will bangladesh play?"
About 'Should'
I think they should. Because thinking about test-win at this stage and under those conditions is bit impractical. That can only be expected if BD, by any chance, gets to a supirior position at the end of 3rd day of any test.
So, when it comes to Drawing a Test... little bit of boring cricket is wht is necessary for sure.
About 'Will'
Well...I doubt if they will. Because they don't have a reputation to do so. And also... its not very easy actually to play boring(if that is wht u call batting really slow keeping wickets intact) in seaming english conditions. BD batting lineup is still brittle at some points.

its interesting how you define boring cricket. if i think about myself i wont be bored even if its a draw when bd is playing. i wont be bored if bd plays like snail and score a large total. however i will be bored if the opposition scores a large total whether slow or fast. it may be partial one eyed supporting, but thats the way every supporter is i guess.
