Something to be chear about.......
i think our players are showing good potentials now. Which is very good to see. There are some key improvement that I've found in the team.....
1. Batsman have more confidnet that they used to have.
1. Opening Partnerships are going above 40 or 50
3. Aftab ahmed ( no more a Slogger)
4. Run Rate is always over 4.00
5. Fieldings has improved alot
but there are some negative signs as well....as the batsman are improving our bowlers are falling a bit. Coz u can see from todays match.....Mashrafee did bowl well but against Kenya he should've got more wickets.
Also We should've rapped Kenyian innings inside 40 overs !
I think thats the only section that we are falling behind. What do u think???

All these signs are against the lowly Kenyans. The real test will be against the Aussies. Hope they wouldn't make the Tigers look like the Kenyans !

Mashrafee would get at least 4/5 wickets today had the batmen been better.
Better batmen would succeed into putting thier bat to the ball that went between bat and stumps and result in them being bowled (inside edge). :P

Aftab has never been a slogger. He has one of best technique in BD team and He has all the strokes in book. To me he is a complete batsman. Only.. he lacks temperment.. which most of our batsmen do. Under no circumstances.. i would consider him as a slogger.
getting life... never means some one is a slogger. Definitel NOT.

hmmmmm.....Thats also true.....but...I think after the tour in Srilanka....he has improved alot better then before.
Well to score a big one u have to have luck with u too. So i think Aftab had luck today and thats why he was dropped. But too many drops....makes me think again ....lol !

Forget the little things. Kenya, our arch rival, stood between Bangladesh and world cup, kept beating us, and boy, did I hate them for this.
Last 7 years, I have waited for this day, when Bangladesh will literally kick their arse. Today is that day.
This is more than enough to cheer.

I totally agree with you, we shouldn't hype too much about this success, it's doing more good to the stats then our confidence or even temperment.

i dont think aftab afhad ever was a slogger. its not so easy to be a slogger and make back to back fifties. doesnt matter if he is dropped or what. being dropped is a part of the game. most batsman scoring a century usually gets a life somewhere along the game either by the fielders or by the umpires gratefulness.

i dont think mashrafee not getting 4/5 wickets is a problem. its not that mashrafee is the only bowler that is going to play against australia. as long as they got them all out they did a great job. and who cares we did not get them out in 40 overs. thats not a big deal too. they were not even able to score 200 runs. that is the main point. they were just blocking the balls and letting the bowl go through to the keeper. so you cant obviously get that kind of a batsman out easily. so i am very much impressed with the bowling. but shahadat really needs to improve. just having aggression and body langauge is not enough to play against australia. he really needs to work hard on the line and length.

can't agree more.
However, the oppositions standard has fallen.
I think this Bd team would have beaten the kenyan semi finalist team at least 3-1 if not 4-0.
