Bangladesh are 20:1 odds to win the WC...

thats according to sportsbetting.com website. now, i'm not huge on teh gambling scene but aren't all odds from all bookmakers the same or are there slight variations?

but that point of this thread is to ask if anyone remembers or can link to an archive that has our odds for winning the 2003 and 2007 world cups...i just want to see what our odds were like then. that would be a huge sign of "improvement" that we always talk about and have so many different ways of measuring.

the odds vary from bookmaker to bookmaker...we range from 20/1 all the way to 50/1...

India range from even (1/1) to 9/2 or something.

20:1 is very poor odds for Bangladesh to win the World Cup. I've seen some bookmakers offering 50:1, I've put a cheeky amount at 40:1. I also have bet on Sri Lanka to win at 6:1 which is better than what I could find currently anywhere else . Here are the current best odds (UK based online bookmakers) I could find for each team to win the competition:-

India: 7:2 (ie 3.5:1)
England 5:1
Sri Lanka 5:1
SA 5:1
Australia 6:1
Pakistan 10:1
NZ 20:1
WI 22:1
Bangladesh 50:1
Zimbabwe 300:1
Ireland 750:1
Kenya 1000:1
Canada 2000:1
Netherlands 2000:1

The line for BD to beat India is down to 6/1

To win the group is 16/1

11/8 to Qualify for round 2 and 4/7 to get eliminated in the group stages

Mahmudullah 33/1 to be the Top Run Scorer for BD (very good value bet), Tamim is the Favorite at 9/4 followed by Shakib and Than Rock, Juniad, Ash etc.

I've put some on Riyad at 33/1 to be top scorer for Bangladesh. Thought it was very good value for money.

Anyone think betting $1000 on Bangladesh 1/9 to beat Canada is worth it? I'm thinking of doing it but surely it's not worth it just for $100 profit!! However surely it's almost guaranteed Bangladesh is gonna win, what's the weather forecast on matchday, anyone know? what do you guys think of this bet? I'm really thinking about making it,

Also I can get a multiple bet odds of 1.4 ( I think that 4/10 in fractional odds) on Bangladesh beating Canada, NZ beating Ireland, WI beating Kenya, SA beating Zim, and SL beating Netherlands. I know this isn't the best odds I can get but I can't be bothered signing up to any other site, I might stick $200 on that for $80 profit.

I'm such a junkie for these bets, I've made huge losses betting on "sure things before but I can't help myself
