Expectations from the rest of the matches
I am shocked, very very shocked. This is the worst day of my cricket watching life. But I am still rooting for my tigers. No matter how you explain it, this is an accident (not the loss but how we lost it). I expect my tigers will give it a fight. May be we will loose badly to England and SA, may be we will just limp pass the Neds. But I want to see a fight!
I believe in you tigers. Please believe in yourselves like we do in you!

Tigers will bounce back inshAllah. Looking forward to the match vs. England on the 11th. Yes, TIGERS can win it for us, again

Dreams shattered after this match. My expectations for England match, hope we manage to score 100 at least, South Africa we will be lucky to score a 50, if we score 80 that will be good enough, against Netherlands 150+.

I am not expecting Bangladesh to qualify for the QF anymore. Win or loose I just want our players to perform to the best of their ability and potential which they did not do against West Indies.

Lol, that's exactly how I felt after we lost to Ireland in 2007. May be that's why I am not feeling as hurt as you are right now.
But I am hurting very much for the stonning incident...

To be honest I think Bangla are in very tough. I think of their remaining matches beating England is probably most feisable. England have shown (vs Ireland and the dutch) that their bowling is inept. Bangla should play to their strength which from what I understand is their batting. Therefore if possible they should bat first and allow the batsmen to redeem themselves.
What's the word on the wicket in Chittagong?

Can Bangladesh team quit the rest of the World Cup matches? It will be a good idea, so that the fans stop having emotional outburst.

BD players is in panic mode, and i feel that they will now give away all the matches. Sakib is very nonchalent. After having a batting coach, bowling coach and fielding coach, they are doing worse now than in 2007, It baffles me completely that these cricketers are so irresponsible

Too much expectations on a very young team. Average age of the team is 23, if we stick with the same team they will deliver in the next world cup.

My hope is to win against NL and put some decent fight against the other two.

We have to remember that the last WC our bowling attack was also a lot more experienced. We had Mash who was in great form. And Rafique leading the spin attack.
There was a lot of talk about if this team could handle the pressure of playing WC matches in their backyard and these matches are proving that we're just not there yet. We're still a very young team and are having trouble when teams are coming hard at us. The boys don't know how to respond. Let's hope that after this WC they keep on improving and we can respond after teams come hard at us.

Please cut it off! We have been saying the same thing ever since we got the test status. Half of this side will lose their way just like Aftab, Kapali, Rasel, Nafees etc. This has been our story in the world of cricket!

i hope we will bounce back ...
we are yet to produce our best and we will produce i hope soon.
players need to recollect their thoughts ....
expectations ......
a win against Holland and a dominating one.
good fight against England and SA to recover our pride and if possible sneak a win.
CRICKET IS A GAME OF GLORIOUS UNCERTAINTY. THINGS WILL HAPPEN THAT U MAY HAVE NEVER PREDICTED.
no body predicted such a humiliation of us yesterday. but it happened
no body will predict us to win against SA and ENGLAND. but it may .... ....

I am sorry to say this, but I do not expect a single win in next 3 games. Once the pressure of WC is over, they will bounce back.

Rubu bhai, the pressure is already over. Majority of the fans are not expecting them to reach the QF after today's performance.
on the topic:
1. Against England: Our performance can only get better (I think)... so I think we'll have a decent game.... but not decent enough to win it ofcourse.
2. Against Netherland: After an 'ok' bounce back against England, and playing in the same ground (Ctg)... I think we should be able to handle Netherland and win the match (but not a drubbing ofcourse).
3. Against South Africa: By then more or less all the QF teams will be finalized and South Africa might be topping the group. So for the dead rubber they might rest some key players like Steyn, Kallis, Amla.... thus giving us a chance to win (with chance being the keyword). Dhaka ppl might get an opportunity to go all 'pagla' for one last time...
am I expecting too much given the context ??

Not too many expectations. Whatever they do from here will be a bonus.

Question is by how much? Can't take a sub-100 score if batting first or getting beat by 200+.

agree with irampool, after todays debacle coupled with other negative performances; a lots of new younger player will comes into this team after WC. Our teams average age will always be young and we can't use this excuse anymore.
