Default Best Bangla Players Wanted - Banga fans pls advise

Hi all fans and supporters of Bangladesh cricket.

I am in a Fantasy cricket competition and I want to get a couple of really good Banga players. The comp is only for TEST players so please ignore T20/50over players.

Tanim, Junaid, Mahmadullah, Mash, Hakib, Rahim and Shahadat are already taken by others.

Apart tfrom the above mentioned, who are the most likely players to be selected for the series against India in January.

Please post your suggestions and why.

Thanks in advance guys

I've read a lot of people slagging Ash and suggesting he may not keep his place in the team.

Is Junaid likely to make the test team against India?

Theres 2 Test Teams in which Ash is Money, Thats Sri Lanka and India. Mainly because there bowling has been the same He's Very Comfprtable vs The Like Zaheer and Harbajan. Ofcourse he baptized Ishant into Test Cricket.

I wouldn't select any spinner even Shakib for Fantasy purposes, Indians are masters vs Spin Bowling. I would take a chance on Shahadat.

Same here. Even Rubel could be handy against India/Sl batters.

Those are all theory about Ashraful. Practical aspect is way different then that. He is undoubtedly the best batsman ever produced in the history of Bangladesh till date. In the up coming series he would be the deciding factor for Bangladesh if they are really want to put any resistance against the on song Indians.

He is the most talented batsman and the biggest head case that Bangladesh has produced to date. He could have been a batsman of Tendulkar's class, but he will probably be nothing more than "what could have been!"

I wish he watches Virender Sehwag's big innings. Sehwag is a big hitter, but he uses his feet and goes after bad deliveries, while sparing the good ones. Ash, on the other hand, is apt to play a glorious shot, followed by a bullheaded one and get out! TI is the man, right now!

Shewag has the quality to stretch his innings. He is a perfect example of how to play aggressive and big innings. A very rare element. He is also showing how to utilized one's ability 100%.

You are right the is a high possibility that Ashraful might remain as the enigma even at the end of his career.

He is still the best Test cricketer of Bangladesh, IMO.
Unfortunately, he is not in the team right now! Though he might be in the 30 players squad for the upcoming Test series against India, hopefully.

The U/19 team will be in NZ that time, so no chance for him.

Nah, don't bet on Bashar, there is almost no chance that Siddons will take back a player of his age.

Raqibul Hasan has good chance to be selected, though his Test record is not that good so far.

Here are some tips on players for fantasy....:

1) Ashraful is the best bet from the players up there. He will definately bowl some, and is known as the partnership breakers of bangladesh.

2) Shahriar Nafees will definately be back on the team, so he'll be very cheap considering he's returning after such a long time. He's been the best run getter in this years DPL.

3) Junaid Siddiqu is the most likely one to get dropped. He is a very big risk to keep on the team as he hasn't proven nothing yet. I would drop him.

4) Rakibul Hasan is the only test batsman in Bangladesh, but his name has been thrown up for the drop, which however I feel is very unlikely. He's been said he's too slow. But he's sure to get you some runs, because he can keep his cool.

my openion is for middle order Habibul Bashar. His test batting average is good. As an opener is Shahriar Nafees. His strike rate is good. He got 1 hundred against Australia.
