Players not contributing in any form
Four practice matches and the First ODI has revealed that few players are not contributing in any form. Interestingly all the names starts with the letter M!
1. Mushfiq
2. Mehrab
3. Mashrafee

I don't see Aftab's name on the list. Why?

I guess because we know that Aftab doesnt really score beyond his age and we expect ( as well as the whole world) that he is " boom boom" aftab and will get out by hitting leg side slogs... he did what was expected from him. Didnt he?

Mushfiq has been off form for a very long time now. Soon he will lose his place to Dhiman.
Mehrab never justified himself. He should be dropped permanently.
Masrafee is a great loss, we need him every match as the hero.
Forhad should be dropped too. We dont need ordinary players like Mehrab and Forhad, there too many talents like Golam Mabur, Imroj.

Eaxactly, he is the biggest culprit for being one of the experienced cricketers. When he played in England in 2005, he was the inform batsman. What has happened to him?
It seems that he will be chosen for the Test match.

i strongly disagree, in the charity match, nobdoy appreciated his 21* out of 26 balls...
SHAME!!! with unappreciative fans no wonder the team, often goes down the drain!
Mortaza, i will give hima few more chances, then i will think about dropping him/keeping him.
come on people, enough of complaining.'
we should try the Sri lankan strategy, keep the same old guys for a long long time, do not drop anybody, we have virtually no team chemistry at all, that's why we keep losing...
since Mushfiqur is a capable batsmen, instead of criticizing him like everyone, i will calmly tell him to start performing again...

yeah merhab didn't do too badly in the T20 match, though i'm not sure he's the right type of player long term for T20s and 50 over matches just because his natural game seems to be on the slower side of things. was fairly impressed with his staying power in FC cricket this season so he might be able to play a role in test cricket.
mortaza i don't think BD can really afford to drop him, he's inconsistent atm but when he's on he's probably the best pacer BD have and i'm not sure other options would do much better than mortaza even when he's not playing well.
mushy, i think he should get more of a chance in test cricket, but i just don't think he fits into the team in T20s and 50 over cricket.
with that being said, whoever the selectors put on the field i hope all of them can do well for BD.

Who do you want to drop Mushfiq for??? For later series, you can get Pilot or Dhiman, but Pilot will arrive for the test series shortly and Mushfiq cannot be replaced for the ODI games.
I think we should keep the same team for the next match, and if Mehrab fails to produce, then we replace him with Tushar, if he is fit.

i think there is a case to drop mehrab because i think the team is short a specialist pace bowler. as for mushy, well obviously he has to play the rest of the series as there isn't any other keeper in the squad. but maybe on future tours the selectors could look at other options for T20s and 50 over cricket.
if we're talking specifically the line-up for the 2nd ODI in NZ, then the only possible change imo should be mehrab for sajidul. but that depends on each of our perspectives, imo the team was short a specialist pace bowler in the first match. but it does depend a lot on the team plan i.e. if they want to use spinners more than pacers then stay with the same team as the 1st ODI, if they want pace then bring in another pace bowler.

I didn't like the balance in the first odi team. We can't expect to win a game with three specialist bowlers. WI tried it for few years and it never worked. Forhad, Sakib, Mehrab and Ash can't bowl 20 overs. Drop Mehrab and play Sajidul. Mehrab can play the test matches if selected.

not suited in middle order.

Rajin should be given a chance. Mushfiq's performance with the bat will be selectors next important headache as we really don't have WC/Batsman as replacement for teh shoter versions. I don't think Dhiman is ready to be that replacement either.
