I was actually hoping for at least 3 wickets by now. Good job sticking around. I have my bowlers on agressive on this pitch. Little runs, but few wickets

sounds just like our national team! do you have a "Shahadat Hossain" in your team, have him open
the main problem is miscommunication in our team between Tamim and his partner(i can recall about at least 8 occasions when this happened! it al started with Javed Omar second ODI mirpur 2007)
plus we have a problem with the sharp new ball! even in the recent tri series the matches we won, we still were unable to solve this problem even against let's just say not so world class bowlers...
this is why i supported Javed Omar..(and to an extent Shahriar Nafees) both good players of the new ball!
sorry, off topic discussion! back to FTP

yes Tonoy, Shahriar Nafees was indeed a good player of the new ball, at times he just got unlucky but definitely better than Siddique in that area!

i noticed we were too impatient with him so he was swapped with Nazimuddin when he was ready to settle after a streak of poor forms i thought that was a bad decision! why?
Cricket is a process, not an Event or two!
we need to have respect for our young tigers who are still developing their game! consistency will only come if they keep at it! if we keep chopping our players, we will always remain #10 in ICC...
so i still say keep players like Siddique, Mehrab jr, Kayes, Tamim more training/development...they are still less than 23 year olds.remember Australlian players debut at 26 and yet we expect our players to pull off "miracles" every single day, which is unrealistic given our relative poor experience!

as we learn from FTP, endurance is most of the time "low" when you are young, this is one reason why Bangladesh players are inconsistent!

To be honest Rifat, I have very little faith on these so called new youngsters. Mehrab, Junaid, and Imrul are no where near the caliber of Nafees. He was indeed a classy player. I just pray that this ICL fiasco will be over soon.
