^ That's only because there is not that much focus on this series. All the focus right now is on IND vs. AUs series.

Congrats BD for a superb win.
Rain worked in our favour for a change
We can win without Tamim. Tamim's comeback should make us more formidable.

Well Shakib did the major contribution, but we cannot strip the others off their contributions. Good batting at the top and end. Good fielding. All has contributed to the victory. Definitely the better team on the day has won.

Good win, but with exception of Shakib, other batsmen failed to contribute when needed. 250 runs should have been the norm. Hope they bat better in the next match, as they will be short of fast bowlers. Was there improvement in the overall fielding?

man i bet the match thread must've been buzzing during the match. I seen some of the bangladesh innings and didn't think we'd win I was going to post after about naeem's woeful batting but got a big surprise. Naeem made up for it with the ball. What odds would you have given me with all these threads being opened yesterday and not a single one bashing Shariar Nafees lol, then again there's still 4 more matches to go.

It's really weird how we're managing to defend these low totals, remarkably our top 7 highest totals against the g8 (excluding windies 'a') have not resulted in a win but we've been able to defend scores 228, 236, 215 and so on.

Which is why we need to play on sluggish surfaces at home and unleash our SLAs + the slow medium Nazmul. When we score big, it's because the track is flat and the opposition always has better batsmen compared to the sissies we have up at the top. Our bowling attack on a slow, low track, however, can be pretty good.
With the kind of surface they played on in the first ODI, they'll at least have a slight chance of beating the Netherlands at home.
And make Shakib the captain. Eshob Mashrafe Tashrafe diye kaaj hobe na. Can't bowl in the death, can't go two games without breaking a leg, can't hold back tears when victory is nigh. Even Nazmul has more character.

Shakib as captian = Bad idea. It's like pushing the self destruct button as the team is highly dependent on him. He himself resigned from the captiancy (rightly so) IIRC. So make someone else captian and Shaks should continue as Vice.
