Default Match Thread: Australia v Pakistan @ Lords

only few hours away, looking foward to this test.
imo pak have best fast bowling lineup and aussies have best batting apart from eng (better than india in a bouncy pitch).
should be a cracking match, if and only if pak batting dont collapse. afridi will be key, and so will umar akmal who has suddenly become their start batsman from nowhere

Chris Broad has now cautioned him over the Ponting elbow incident while he did not consider it necessary to talk to Ponting.

Considering the record of certain match referees, I am only surprised that Aamer was not banned for the rest of the series

Yap, it is surprising as it was Ponting who extended the elbow and made the contact. The Sky commentators were trying to defend Ponting by saying that it was his area (batsman's area) and Aamer invaded that. Found the logic quite interesting and now this!!

really? Just do some statguru in cricinfo and show me how they are flat track bullies? May be its Indian young generation players are FTB but they are not playing test matches atm. With Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag, Gambir, Laxman they are having the best batting lineup in the world.

pak doing really well, 208-7
this score makes me feel happy because not so long ago we were batting under similar conditions in lords, and got higher score.
aussies should get bowled out under 250

To be fair to Aussies, there was cloud cover, and we should know, when there is cloud cover in England, batsmen are screwed.

Our batting is better than Pakistan's. I find it amazing how Pakistanis can poke fun at our batting misfortunes when in recent times they have the worst batting record among all teams and that too with Yousuf and Younus. Now they have neither. If there was a combined BD-Pak Test XI fielded Tamim, Zunaed, Mushfiq, Riyad and Shakib would be in it with Tamim being the best batsman by miles in that XI.

And don't bring up conditions. Lord's is the best batting wicket in England. We faced much more ghastly conditions at Old Trafford and at periods when we were batting at Lord's we had to face the same conditions. Plus James Anderson is among the best bowlers in the world when the conditions are favourable.

Australia have won this match. This Pakistani line-up can't make 200. Whatever the Aussies score from now are just bonus runs.

Pakistan pace bowling is superior than us and currently one of the best. But their batting department is far too weak to win any test match. Pakistan is still better than BD but they are not improving.

first of all,

The LAME(untrue) FISH JOKE HAS TO STOP!

second of all,

when was the last time Bangladesh defeated Pakistan?????? we still talk big

let's play a test match against them in LORDS and we will know how much paddy make how much rice(analogy stolen from Tiger's_Eye bhai )

I am pretty sure Pakistan Cricket Team would be in top of all world right now had it not been for drugs, politics and corruption!

Pakistan is very similar to Bangladesh: another GIFTED cricket team with misused potential!!!

This Test is turning out to be very interesting. I feel Pakistan has the edge aften taking 4 wickets in the second innings.

OZ will probably end up putting 300 runs lead on the board. IMO this pak batting line up in not capable of getting there. but hey this is cricket you never know.
